Ramesh, Tom Toby, Anu Mary ChackoPerson re-identification in surveillance camera videos is attracting widespread interest due to its increasing number of applications. It is being applied in the field of security, healthcare, product manufacturing, product sales and more. Though there are a variety of methods to do person re-identification, face verification-based methods are very much effective. In this study, a deep learning framework to perform … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 7 · 28 Jul 2021 · 7,317 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSemi-Probabilistic Calibration of a Partial Material Safety Factor for Structural Silicone Adhesives - Part II: Verification ConceptMichael A. Kraus, Michael DrassThis paper deals with the application of the semi-probabilistic design concept (level I) to structural silicone sealants where a generally valid verification concept is proposed. The verification concept deals with the classification of silicone adhesive joints into cavitation-insensitive and cavitation-sensitive adhesive joints and at the same time advises which class of material models is necessary for the categorized adhesive joint … …International Journal of Structural Glass and Advanced Materials Research, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 10 Jan 2020 · 11,269 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparative Assessment of Analytical models for the ULS Resistance Verification of Structural Glass Elements under Variable LoadsChiara Bedon, Claudio AmadioThe design of glass structures, due to the intrinsic material properties, is mainly governed by the typical tensile brittle behavior of the material. In this regard, a currently open question related to the use of glass in buildings as a load-bearing constructional material, is represented by the correct estimation of static fatigue phenomena due to a generic combination of design … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 16 Mar 2017 · 7,761 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePALMPRINT VERIFICATION USING INVARIANT MOMENTS BASED ON WAVELET TRANSFORMInass SH. Hussein, Md Jan NordinData security is one of the important issues among computer users. Data security can prevent fraudulent users from accessing an individual's personal data. The biometrics recognition as one of the most important parts in the security of the data and the application of computer vision. The biometrics is the authentication method used in a wide variety of applications such as … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 7 Mar 2014 · 6,492 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFORMAL VERIFICATION OF SAFETY MESSAGE DISSEMINATION PROTOCOL FOR VANETSM. A. Berlin, Sheila AnandThis paper presents a formal verification of a safety message dissemination protocol used in vehicular ad-hoc networks. It is proposed to use Road Side Units to broadcast road hazard information to vehicles travelling on highways. Quick dissemination of road hazard information, like road blocks, slippery roads and other obstacles can help to prevent road accidents and improve passenger safety. Formal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 9 Jul 2013 · 6,858 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEfficient Multimodal Biometric Authentication Using Fast Fingerprint Verification and Enhanced Iris FeaturesA. Jameer Basha, V. Palanisamy, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: The accuracy of biometric systems varies with the kind of biometric feature used in it. The Unmoral biometric system is prone to interclass variations. Approach: We implement Multimodal biometric systems to overcome the limitations by using multiple pieces of evidence of the same identity. However, the multimodal biometric system is limited to the time constraints due to its … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,619 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleUsability Requirements of Formal Verification Tools: A SurveyRozilawati Razali, Paul GarrattProblem statement: Formal notations employ mathematical symbols and interpretation to illustrate system elements. The formality imposed by the notations allows the accuracy and consistency of a system model to be confirmed by verification tools. Formal notations on the other hand are difficult to understand and use by most users. As supporting instruments, verification tools are expected to be as usable … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 10 Aug 2010 · 7,185 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Approach to Dynamic Signature Verification Using Sensor-Based Data gloveShohel Sayeed, Nidal S. Kamel, Rosli BesarData glove is a new dimension in the field of virtual reality environments, initially designed to satisfy the stringent requirements of modern motion capture and animation professionals. In this study we try to shift the implementation of data glove from motion animation towards signature verification problem, making use of the offered multiple degrees of freedom for each finger and for … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 7,147 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecurity Policy Development: Towards a Life-Cycle and Logic-Based Verification ModelLuay A. Wahsheh, Jim Alves-FossAlthough security plays a major role in the design of software systems, security requirements and policies are usually added to an already existing system, not created in conjunction with the product. As a result, there are often numerous problems with the overall design. In this paper, we discuss the relationship between software engineering, security engineering, and policy engineering and present … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,338 accessesView PDFCite
