Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEfficient Resource Allocation and Task Scheduling in a Cloud Computing Environment using Swarm IntelligencePanuganti Hanumantha Rao, Rajakumar Subramanian, Geetha SomanThe new age of network-based computing, known as "cloud computing," is characterized by the distribution and sharing of resources over a network. These resources are available to anyone through the Internet on a pay-per-use basis. Any service that anybody uses can generate massive amounts of data. Therefore, in this scenario, there will be a significant cost associated with transferring data … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2024 · 4,716 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnergy and Distance Aware Multi-Objective Firebug Swarm Optimization Based Clustering and Routing in Wireless Sensor NetworksGundeboyina Srinivasalu, Hanumanthappa UmadeviIn recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have received increased international attention due to advancements in the communication, electronics, and information fields. These sensor networks integrate a huge number of sensor nodes to track rapidly changing physical events. The key improvement is that these nodes can be easily positioned in any environment due to their small size. Therefore, maintaining network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 3 · 10 Feb 2023 · 6,029 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleUsing the Cuckoo Search for Generating New Particles in Particle Swarm Optimization AlgorithmFariaa Abdalmajeed Hameed, Harith Raad Hasan, Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed, Gulala Ali Hama AminThis study is focused on as Cuckoo Search (CS), one of the current meta-heuristic optimization algorithm. The CS algorithm is useful in generating and searching for the most optimum particles of important meta-heuristic optimization algorithm, known as the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), to enhance its performance. This optimization is confirmed through a benchmark online optimization and actual problems. The PSO … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2020 · 7,441 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSpeech Enhancement Based on Adaptive Noise Cancellation and Particle Swarm OptimizationTayseer M.F. Taha, Summrina Kanwal Wajid, Amir HussainSpeech enhancement is used in almost all modern communication systems. This is due to the quality of speech being degraded by environmental interference factors, such as: Acoustic additive noise, acoustic reverberation or white Gaussian noise. This paper, explores the potential of different benchmark optimization techniques for enhancing the speech signal. This is accomplished by fine tuning filter coefficients using a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 28 May 2019 · 7,729 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePROBABILISTIC PERIODIC REVIEW INVENTORYMODELUSING LAGRANGE TECHNIQUE AND FUZZY ADAPTIVE PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATIONH. A. Fergany, N. A. El-Hefnawy, O. M. HollahThe integration between inventory model and Artificial Intelligent (AI) represents the rich area of research since last decade. In this study we investigate probabilistic periodic review <Q<qm, N> inventory model with mixture shortage (backorder and lost sales) using Lagrange multiplier technique and Fuzzy Adaptive Particle Swarm Optimization (FAPSO) under restrictions. The objective of these algorithms is to find the optimal … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 11 Aug 2014 · 7,017 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA SURVEY: PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION BASED ALGORITHMS TO SOLVE PREMATURE CONVERGENCE PROBLEMBahareh Nakisa, Mohd Zakree Ahmad Nazri, Mohammad Naim Rastgoo, Salwani AbdullahParticle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a biologically inspired computational search and optimization method based on the social behaviors of birds flocking or fish schooling. Although PSO is represented in solving many well-known numerical test problems, but it suffers from the premature convergence. A number of basic variations have been developed due to solve the premature convergence problem and improve quality … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 24 Apr 2014 · 8,783 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOPTIMIZING LOCALIZATION ROUTE USING PARTICLE SWARM-A GENETIC APPROACHL. Lakshmanan, D. C. TomarOne of the most key problems in wireless sensor networks is finding optimal algorithms for sending packets from source node to destination node. Several algorithms exist in literature, since some are in vital role other may not. Since WSN focus on low power consumption during packet transmission and receiving, finally we adopt by merging swarm particle based algorithm with genetic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 20 Jan 2014 · 7,381 accessesView PDFCite
