Murtada, Mohamed M. Zahra, Magdi Fikri et al.Problem statement: The Software Communications Architecture (SCA) was developed to improve software reuse and interoperability in Software Defined Radios (SDR). There had been performance concerns since its conception. Arguably, the majority of the problems and inefficiencies associated with the SCA can be attributed to the assumption of modular distributed platforms relying on General Purpose Processors (GPPs) to perform all signal … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 29 Nov 2011 · 7,495 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSoftware Defined Radio Implementation of a QPSK Modulator/Demodulator in an Extensive Hardware Platform Based on FPGAs Xilinx ZYNQSérgio Bimbi Junior, Vitor Chaves de Oliveira, Gunnar Bedicks JuniorSoftware Defined Radio (SDR) technology enables wireless devices deployment with support to multiple interfaces in modulation formats and it has gained importance due to the current wireless standards proliferation. In order to activate these functionalities it is necessary to apply SDR inside a reconfigurable hardware such as the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). In this study, design procedures developments are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 2 Jun 2015 · 8,813 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMODULATION IDENTIFICATION AND HAMMING ENCODING TECHNIQUE IMPLEMENTED IN SOFTWARE-DEFINED RADIOS. Ravi, M. Anand, S. Leones Sherwin Vimalraj, V. KannanIn SDR, it is advantageous if the data is transmitted using the best among the various modulation techniques with respect to SNR. The receiver has the ability to automatically identify the modulation technique and demodulate it. This process involves a novel method where a pilot sequence helps in identifying the type of modulation at the receiver. Ten modulation techniques are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 8 Feb 2014 · 6,888 accessesView PDF Cite
