Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleShots Temporal Prediction Rules for High-Dimensional Data of Semantic Video RetrievalShaimaa Toriah Mohamed Toriah, Atef Zaki Ghalwash, Aliaa A.A. YoussifTemporal consistency stands as a vital property in semantic video retrieval. Few research studies can exploit this useful property. Most of the used methods in those studies depend on rules defined by experts and use ground-truth annotation. The Ground-truth annotation is time-consuming, labor intensive and domain specific. Additionally, it involves a limited number of annotated concepts and a limited number … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 30 Jan 2018 · 8,117 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractVideo Retrieval using Histogram and Sift Combined with Graph-based Image SegmentationTran Quang Anh, Pham Bao, Tran Thuong Khanh et al.Problem statement: Content-Based Video Retrieval (CBVR) is still an open hard problem because of the semantic gap between low-level features and high-level features, largeness of database, keyframe’s content, choosing feature. In this study we introduce a new approach for this problem based on Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) feature, a new metric and an object retrieval method. Conclusion/Recommendations: Our algorithm is built … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 15 Mar 2012 · 7,013 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProgressive Content-Sensitive Data Retrieval in Sensor NetworksBo Yang, Manohar MareboyanaProblem statement: For a sensor network comprising autonomous and self-organizing data sources, efficient similarity-based search for semantic-rich resources (such as video data) has been considered as a challenging task due to the lack of infrastructures and the multiple limitations (such as band-width, storage and energy). While the past research discussed much on routing protocols for sensor networks, few works have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 6,845 accessesView PDF Cite
