Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Role of Trust in Cloud Service Providers on the Adoption of Cloud Computing in Saudi Arabia: An Empirical InvestigationWaleed AlghaithCloud computing has emerged as one of the most significant developments in the field of Information Technology (IT) in recent years, allowing others to leverage third-party services. Therefore, it is essential to identify and address trust in cloud service providers as one of the key predictors of the acceptance of cloud computing. Several prior studies covered the technological facets of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 9 · 25 Aug 2023 · 5,386 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMobile Ad Hoc Network Security for Reactive Routing Protocol with Node Reputation SchemeA. Suresh, Dr. K. DuraiswamyThe mobile node’s reputation in the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) identifies its trust worthiness for secured multiple data communication. Unknown nature of the node’s communication status for initial period has great impact in the effective data transfer as MANET is self-organized and distributed. Problem statement: The functional operation of the mobile network relies on the trusty cooperation between the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,992 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntrusion-Resistant Multi-Hop Communication Protocol for Secure Wireless Sensor NetworksRakesh Ranjan, Vaishali Singh, Hitendra SinghModern Internet of Things (IoT) systems are based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which can be distributed to various environments to perform a range of sensing and data aggregation. Their intrinsic deficiencies in computation, energy, and bandwidth, however, make them very vulnerable to routing-layer attacks like black hole and selective forwarding as well as Sybil intrusion. The current studies on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 1 Jul 2026 · 943 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractExploring Self-Sovereign Identity Through a Digital Transcript Proof-of-ConceptNaphat Khajohn-Udomrith, Ittipon RassameerojCredential forgery presents a significant threat to the integrity of academic and employment documents. While Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Verifiable Credentials (VC) offer a decentralized alternative, existing solutions often struggle to balance institutional trust with holder privacy. This paper proposes a novel, dual-layered architectural framework for digital transcripts. We implement a strategic bimodal DID approach, utilizing did:web for the issuing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 21 May 2026 · 1,502 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Model of Crowdwork System Based on Blockchain Technology in the Creative IndustrySugiarto Hartono, Harjanto Prabowo et al.With the increasing number of internet users, the opportunity for the crowdwork system will be wide open for freelancers looking for work and for job providers looking for freelancers for their projects, especially in the creative industry. Trust is an issue in the existing crowdwork system. The users still do not know each other, so malicious actions can arise between … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 8 · 17 Jul 2023 · 5,536 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Computational Trust Model for Collaborative VenturesMohd Mokhtar, Weigang WangProblem statement: The conceptual notion of trust and its underlying computational methods has been an important issue for researchers in electronic communities. While the independent trust evaluation is suitable in certain circumstances, such unilateral process falls short in supporting mutual evaluation between partners. Perceived reputation, the depth and breadth of trust, Trust Perception (TP), Repeat Collaborators at a Threshold (RCT) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 15 Aug 2012 · 7,211 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Hybrid Model for Load Aware Trust Management in GridK. Selvi, R. S.D. Wahida BanuProblem statement: Trust management in a distributed dynamic environment like grid has been very vital since the allocation of appropriate resources to meet user request influences the success of the system. While considering a set of resources which are loaded invariably, balancing the load also contributes for the efficient resource utilization. Approach: This study proposes a trust calculation model, which … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,536 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAcknowledgment based Reputation Mechanism to Mitigate the Node Misbehavior in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Gopalakrishnan, V. Rhymend UthariarajProblem statement: The cooperation between the nodes is essential to discover and maintain routes in mobile ad hoc network. Due to the presence of misbehaving nodes, the node cooperation is not always guaranteed as the nodes agreed during the route discovery phase. This phenomenon results in frequent network partitioning and it makes the routing process difficult. It also degrades the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2011 · 6,570 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMobile Anonymous Trust Based Routing Using Ant Colony OptimizationR. Kalpana, N. RengarajanProblem statement: Ad hoc networks are susceptible to malicious attacks through denial of services, traffic analysis and spoofing. The security of the ad hoc routing protocol depends upon encryption, authentication, anonymity and trust factors. End-to-end security of data is provided by encryption and authentication, topology information of the nodes can be obtained by studying traffic and routing data. This security … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 30 Jun 2012 · 6,948 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Combined Solution for Routing and Medium Access Control Layer Attacks in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksR. Murugan, A. ShanmugamProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), both the routing layer and the Medium Access Control (MAC) layer are vulnerable to several attacks. There are very few techniques to detect and isolate the attacks of both these layers simultaneously. In this study, we developed a combined solution for routing and MAC layer attacks. Approach: Our approach, makes use of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 4 Nov 2010 · 7,137 accessesView PDFCite
