Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComparative Study of Two Reactive Routing Protocols with Realistic Mobility ModelJohn Tengviel, Agyemang SylvesterA Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are dynamic wireless networks that can be formed without the need for any existing infrastructure in which each node can act as a host as well as a router. One of the main challenges of MANETs is the design of robust routing protocols that adapt to the frequent and randomly changing network topology. A variety … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 21 Dec 2020 · 6,231 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMobile Ad Hoc Network Security for Reactive Routing Protocol with Node Reputation SchemeA. Suresh, Dr. K. DuraiswamyThe mobile node’s reputation in the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) identifies its trust worthiness for secured multiple data communication. Unknown nature of the node’s communication status for initial period has great impact in the effective data transfer as MANET is self-organized and distributed. Problem statement: The functional operation of the mobile network relies on the trusty cooperation between the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,988 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Study of Ad-Hoc Reactive Routing ProtocolsPallavi Khatri, Monika Rajput, Alankar Shastri, Keshav SolankiProblem statement: In this study, an attempt had been made to compare the performance of the reactive ad-hoc routing protocols using OPNET modeler with respect to increasing number of nodes in the network. Approach: In present study, we compared various reactive routing protocols such as Ad hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV), Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and Temporally Ordered Routing Algorithm … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 10 Aug 2010 · 7,753 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFFA-CONTEXT AWARE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING USING FAST REACTIVE AND ADAPTIVE ALGORITHMP. Kavitha Rani, E. KannanA vital issue of routing is how to efficiently strengthen energy consumption of the whole network and to avoid the energy-hole which leads to node failure or node death; this scenario makes the network to work improperly and leads to network death, Here we proves our hypothesis with linearity between routing and linear principles. Our proposed work effectively utilizes the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,617 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Performance Study of Reactive Multicast Routing Protocols in Virtual Class Room Using Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Vijayaragavan, K. Duraiswamy, B. Kalaavathi, S. MadhaviProblem statement: A great deal of excitement has recently propelled Mobile Learning to the forefront of educational technology. The exponential growth of mobile technology in the recent years, increase in the availability of high-bandwidth network, advances in wireless technologies and popularity of handheld devices, have opened up new accessibility opportunities for education. Approach: Virtual class room using MANET had been … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2009 · 6,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsOPTIMIZING LOCALIZATION ROUTE USING PARTICLE SWARM-A GENETIC APPROACHL. Lakshmanan, D. C. TomarOne of the most key problems in wireless sensor networks is finding optimal algorithms for sending packets from source node to destination node. Several algorithms exist in literature, since some are in vital role other may not. Since WSN focus on low power consumption during packet transmission and receiving, finally we adopt by merging swarm particle based algorithm with genetic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 20 Jan 2014 · 7,381 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsProtocols for Secure Routing and Transmission in Mobile Ad Hoc Network: A ReviewMohamed Othman, Salwa Aqeel Mahdi, Hamidah Ibrahim et al.Mobile ad hoc network security is a new area for research that it has been faced many difficulties to implement. These difficulties are due to the absence of central authentication server, the dynamically movement of the nodes (mobility), limited capacity of the wireless medium and the various types of vulnerability attacks. All these factor combine to make mobile ad hoc … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 25 May 2013 · 8,208 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAd Hoc Mobile Wireless Networks Routing Protocols - A ReviewGeetha Jayakumar, G. GopinathMobile ad hoc networks(MANET) represent complex distributed systems that comprise wireless mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self organize into arbitrary and temporary ad-hoc network topologies, allowing people and devices to seamlessly internet work in areas with no preexisting communication infrastructure e.g., disaster recovery environments. An ad-hoc network is not a new one, having been around in various forms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 115,241 accessesView PDFCite
