Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Alternative Ray Tracing Algorithm for Understanding Scenes with Embedded ObjectsNancy Dandachy, Dimitri Plemenos, Safwan Chendeb, Bachar El HassanProblem statement: In the virtual world domain, the existing techniques of exploration, were not able alone to resolve the understanding problem of scenes with embedded object, also they are time and memory consuming. As a solution, a novel method that enhances the visualization of 3D ray traced scenes with embedded objects by creating a hole proportional to its interior parts … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2010 · 7,288 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTracking Error Analysis of a Rotation-Elevation Mode HeliostatOmar Aliman, Ismail Daut, Muzamir Isa, Mohd Rafi AdzmanFor the past few years, great efforts have been done in improving the tracking accuracy of a newly proposed rotation-elevation tracking mode heliostat. A special simulation program has been developed to systematically analyze the image movement and to find out the error of the parameters. In the simulation program, ray-tracing method was applied to work out the central point position … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2007 · 7,251 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractModeling the Effect of P-N Junction Depth on the Output of Planer and Rectangular Textured Solar CellsF. Jahanshah, K. Sopian, S. H. Zaidi et al.Problem statement: High cost of the solar cells is one of the important limitations in extensively using of the photovoltaic panels. Thin monocrystalline silicon solar cell could be reduce the cost but lost the absorption efficiency. Surface texturing help to enhance absorption. Using of advance texturing by diffraction grating was suggested for high absorption. It is necessary to investigate the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 8,219 accessesView PDF Cite
