Nawaz BrohiThe purpose of this study is building a web and windows based intelligent system using web technologies, biometric and Radio Frequency Identification technologies (RFID) to strengthen an Academic Management System (AMS) in a campus for monitoring and improving academic performance of teachers and students. A campus mobile phone application will allow guardians to monitor student’s movement history at campus, e-payments … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 21 Nov 2013 · 7,045 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleBluetooth Wireless Network Authentication Using Radio Frequency Communication ProtocolGhossoon M. Waleed, M. Faizal, R. B. Ahmad et al.Problem statement: Bluetooth has emerged as very popular ad hoc network standard today. Bluetooth network applications include wireless synchronization, e-mail/internet/intranet access using local personal computer connections, hidden computing through automated applications and networking. Due to this ability, it is not impossible for the network to receive any attack. Approach: In this study, we developed an algorithm to build new software … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 7,819 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSMART TRAVELLING WITH RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATIONZainab Rasheed Fahad Mirza, Muhammad Nawaz BrohiRadio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is being widely used now-a-days and is becoming more popular with every passing day. There are varied applications of this technology in various fields such as industry, communication, travel and transportation. Roads, rail ways, air traffic and container vessel shipping all share underlying abstractions of transportation nets with hubs. This study is concerned with applications … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 25 Nov 2013 · 7,157 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS ON INTEGRATING CAMPUS RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM ON CLOUDS FOR ENHANCING SECURITYZainabRasheed Mirza, Muhammad Nawaz BrohiSeveral measures had been taken to ameliorate security technology at campuses using latest technologies available. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in campuses is mainly used for recording attendance which is further extended to activity monitoring and individual security. This research paper proposes a framework of RFID integrated solution for enhanced campus IT security including human, campus IT asset traceability, student’s … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 25 Nov 2013 · 6,950 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePROTOTYPE DESIGN SYSTEM FOR MOBILE WEB USING RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION AT PARKING BUILDINGDerwin Suhartono, Chitra Patricia, Hendry Steven, KevinSeveral factors cause people forget things. They are retrieval failure, interference failure to store and motivated forgetting. So, it is considered to have tools in order to prevent those. This happens almost everywhere, including when the drivers forgot where their car has been parked. Furthermore, the increase of parking fee is also considerable. The purpose of this research is to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 7,218 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAgent and Radio Frequency Identification Based Architecture for Supermarket Information SystemHasan Al-SakranIn recent years the acceptance of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in business environments has been increasing rapidly due to its competitive business value. Adopting a suitable RFID-based information system has become increasingly important for supermarkets. However, most supermarkets still use conventional barcode-based systems to manage their information processes, which are consistently reported as one of the most unenthusiastic aspects … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 1 Jun 2013 · 6,742 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHardware Implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm for Radio Frequency Identification SystemJahariah Sampe, Masuri OthmanThis paper presents a proposed hardware implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm (HTACA) for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. Our proposed HTACA combines a pipeline and a deterministic anti-collision technique in order to enhance its performances. These downlink and uplink operations are concurrently executed during the identification process. The downlink operation is purposely pre-selected a group of tags base on … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,443 accessesView PDFCite
