Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesDesign of a High-Performance IP Switching ArchitectureHattab Guesmi, Belgacem Bouallegue, Ridha Djemal, Rached TourkiIn this study we present the architecture for use in high-performance switching networks with support quality of service (QoS) guarantees. Quality of services guarantees in terms of delay, through-put and loss rate can be provided by using mechanism's support like scheduling and buffer management at switching architecture in packet switching networks. Our architecture is based on a new data structure … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,811 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesCommunication Architecture Synthesis for Multi-bus SoCAbdelkrim Zitouni, Sami Badrouchi, Rached TourkiIn the systems on chip (SoC) design, the synthesis of communication architecture constitutes the bottleneck which can affect the performances of the system. Various schemes and protocols can be necessary, just as various topologies of interconnection. To reduce the complexity of the communications refinement, we present in this study a model and a synthesis approach for multi-bus communication architecture containing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 6,780 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesAsynchronous NoC Router DesignSami Badrouchi, Abdelkrim Zitouni, Kholdoun Torki, Rached TourkiThe Quality of Service Network on Chip (QNoC) is the most perferment solution that provides low latency transfers and power efficient System on Chip (SoC) interconnect. This study presents an asynchronous NoC router, for use in 2-D mesh-connected networks. It comprises multiple interconnected input and output ports and dynamic arbitration mechanisms that resolve any output port conflicts based on the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 7,414 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesA Real-time Image Processing with a Compact FPGA-based ArchitectureRidha Djemal, Didier Demigny, Rached TourkiThis study have presented a filed programmable gate array implementation of a real time video smoothing algorithm. In comparison with smoothing video techniques like deblocking filters in H.264 or smoothing in JPEG2000, the proposed method is implemented in hardware and its computational cost and complexity are reduced where all pixel processing related to uncompressed video is done on the fly. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 7,001 accessesView PDFCite
