Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComputer Machine Vision Inspection on Printed Circuit Boards Flux DefectsAng TeohOng, Zulkifilie Bin Ibrahim, Suzaimah RamliThe new visual inspection systems techniques using real time machine vision replace the human visual manual inspection on PCB flux defects, which brings harmful effects on the board which may come in the form of corrosion and can cause harm to the assembly. In short, it brings improvement in Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) production quality, principally concerning the acceptance or … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 28 Aug 2013 · 7,955 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsIncreasing the Reliability of Fuzzy Inference System-Based Skin DetectorAlaa Y. Taqa, Hamid A. JalabProblem statement: Skin detection is a common primitive for many human-related image processing applications, such as video surveillance, naked image filters and face detection. Skin color is considered as a useful and discriminating spatial feature for many applications, but it is not robust enough to deal with complex image environments. Skin tones range from dark (some Africans) to light white … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2010 · 7,138 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsColor Image Reconstruction Using A New R'G'I ModelAkram A. Moustafa, Ziad A. AlqadiProblem statement: A new color model for digital image was discussed; this model can be used to separate low and high frequencies in the image without loosing any information from the image. Approach: A comparative study between different color models (RGB, HSI) applied to a very large microscopic image analysis and the proposed model was presented. Such analysis of different … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 7,486 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAcceleration of Image Processing Using New Color ModelMahdi Alshamasin, Riad Al-kasasbeh, A. Khraiwish et al.The theoretical outcomes and experimental results of new color model designed for accelerated image processing together with implementations of designed model to software of image processing are presented in the study. This model, as it will be shown below, may be used in modern real time video processing applications. The developed model allows to increase a speed of image processing … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2009 · 7,404 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Integrated Machine Learning Framework for Citrus Grading and Yield Prediction Using Classifier-Informed RegressionLydia Dede Obeng, Isaac O. OsunmakindeAgriculture remains a cornerstone of human sustenance, yet accurate citrus fruit grading and yield predictions remain significant challenges due to visual similarities between varieties such as oranges and grapefruits. This includes the inefficiencies of manual grading. This study presents a new dual-function machine learning system that integrates classification and regression to simultaneously grade citrus fruits and forecast crop yields. This … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 4 · 24 Apr 2026 · 1,891 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStatistical Pattern Recognition for Thresholding between Human Skin and Background in Color ImagesRafael Divino Ferreira Feitosa, Vinícius Araújo Santos, Leandro Luís Galdino de Oliveira et al.Many research works based on the tone of human skin have been developed to locate and track the human body for the purpose of recognition in color images. With respect to other techniques, some advantages of face detection based on skin color are the smaller processing time, invariant angles of rotation and the performance in semi-occluded faces. In this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 2 · 10 Apr 2017 · 7,923 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSkin Color Detection Model Using Neural Networks and its Performance EvaluationK. K. Bhoyar, O. G. KakdeProblem statement: Skin color detection is used as a preliminary step in numerous computer vision applications like face detection, nudity recognition, hand gesture detection and person identification. In this study we present a pixel based skin color classification approach, for detecting skin pixels and non skin pixels in color images, using a novel neural network symmetric classifier. The neural classifiers … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 8,058 accessesView PDFCite
