Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHybrid Optimize Strategy based QoS Route Algorithm for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksFu Peng, Zhang DeyunIt is very difficult to find feasible QoS (Quality of service) routes in the mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), because of the nature constrains of it, such as dynamic network topology, wireless communication link and limited process capability of nodes. In order to reduce average cost in flooding path discovery scheme of the traditional MANETs routing protocols and increase the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2006 · 6,546 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving Routing Discovery Based Velocity-Aware Probabilistic Using AODV with Link Prediction in Mobile Ad-hoc NetworksZaid BassfarThe current process associated with enhancing the QoS in routing for MANETs has reserved a high importance due to the limitation of available route discovery in dynamic topology. The conventional methods of route discovery schemes in MANETs are commonly designed in order to estimate the number of nodes in routes using the standard probabilistic models. Such models are utilized by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 8 · 1 Aug 2017 · 7,655 accessesView PDFCite
Research NotesOpen accessIn the abstractA Comprehensive Study on Mobility Issues in AODVThiripurasundari SivakrishnakumarAd-hoc network plays an important role in wireless networks as they are self-configured and can be operated independently with limited resources. The critical issue is to assess the performance of routing protocols in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) due to the frequent changes in network topology. Here the Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol, which is quite susceptible … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 10 · 2 Jan 2016 · 6,722 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Q-Routing Protocol Using Self-Aware Approach for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksAmal Alharbi, Abdullah Al-Dhalaan, Miznah Al-RodhaanMobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are self-organized networks that are characterized by dynamic topologies in time and space. This creates an instable environment, where classical routing approaches cannot achieve high performance. Thus, adaptive routing is necessary to handle the challenges in MANETs. Furthermore, it is necessary for nodes to be self-aware i.e., able to discover neighbors, links and paths when … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 12 · 7 Dec 2015 · 6,463 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImpact of Malicious Nodes under Different Route Refresh Intervals in Ad Hoc NetworkP. Suganthi, A. TamilarasiProblem statement: Ad hoc networks are formed dynamically by group of mobile devices co operating with each other. Intermediate nodes between source and destination act as routers so that source node can communicate with the destination node even if it is out radio range and thus eliminating the necessity of infrastructure. Co operation of nodes is a very important feature … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 3 Nov 2011 · 7,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy Aware Multiple Constraints Quality of Service Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction for Mobile Ad hoc NetworksSenthilkumar Maruthamuthu, Somasundaram SankaralingamProblem statement: This study presents a source based reactive protocol called "Energy Aware Multiple Constraints QoS Routing Protocol with Dynamic Mobility Prediction (EMQRPDM)" for MANET. It is an enhanced version of our previous protocol called "Power aware multiple QoS constraints routing protocol with mobility prediction (PMQRPMP)". It addresses the issues such as routing, mobility and power management in MANET. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,477 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdding Quality of Service Extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Based Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET)Ayman Mansour Murad, Bassam Al-MahadeenThis paper described how to discover routes that can satisfy QoS service requirements by using extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Bases Routing Protocol (EABR). These extensions were added to the messages used during route discovery. These extensions specify the service requirements, which must be met by nodes re-broadcasting a route request or returning a route reply for a destination. The … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,708 accessesView PDFCite

RamamoorthyThe Quality of Service (QoS) providing in Mobile Ad hoc networks has been obtaining increasing importance, specifically Consider the domains of application for networks in disaster environments and defense ventures, QoS is performing level of a service recommended by the network to the consumer. Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are necessary because of wireless infrastructure network is complicated to setup … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,206 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordImpulse Radio Ultra Wide Band Based Mobile Adhoc Network Routing Performance AnalysisM. Sreedhar, C. VenkateshThis study presents with the routing overhead analysis of impulse radio - Ultra Wide Band based wireless networks which Employs Dynamic Nature Routing (EDNR) method for determining and selecting the stable route in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET). This method requires only two sample packets and uses piggyback information on Route-Request (RREQ) and Route-Reply (RREP) packets during a route-discovery procedure.
