Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Metrics of Multipath State Aware Concurrent Multipath Transfer using Redundant Transfer in Stream Control Transmission Protocol Multihoming for Symmetric PathsM. Subramaniam, D. ManjulaProblem statement: In multihomed host, if data transfer starts using CMT, unaware of paths status causes delay in data transfer or packet loss due to path failure. Transmission Path (one or more paths) failures result in out-of-order data delivery causing receiver buffer blocking and preventing sender from transmitting further data. Approach: Multipath State Aware Concurrent Multipath Transfer using Redundant Transfer … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 21 Oct 2011 · 6,798 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAirway Metrics, Anatomy and Growth Performance of Pigs Reared Indoors and OutdoorsChakia Joi McClendon, Sherrell Pettiford, Dawn Conklin et al.While the swine industry has made incredible strides to improve ventilation, air quality in confinement buildings remains an issue. The goal of this study is to characterize correlation between large airway metrics and growth performance in piglets reared indoors and outdoors on pasture. Three experimental trials were conducted: Trial 1 included three breed types that were strictly raised indoors, Tamworth … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 24 Sep 2013 · 7,582 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerson Re-Identification From Video Surveillance Systems Using Artificial Intelligence MethodsRevathi Lavanya Baggam, Vatsavayi Valli KumariThe study explores use of deep learning models in person re identification, leveraging the advancements made in face recognition however the abundance of model choices presents a challenge in selecting the optimal architecture. The study proposes a comprehensive framework for evaluating deep learning models on person re-identification tasks by considering various performance metrics, dataset preprocessing methods, model architectures, and evaluation … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 8 · 19 Sep 2025 · 4,836 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMetaheuristic Algorithms for Independent Task Scheduling in Symmetric and Asymmetric Cloud Computing EnvironmentNagwan M. Abdel Samee, Sara Sayed Ahmed, Rania Ahmed Abdel Azeem Abul SeoudCloud Computing (CC) is a recent technology in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field. It provides an on-demand access to the shared pool of resources via virtualization. Large enterprises move toward CC due to its flexibility and scalability driven from its elastic pay-per-use model. To provide ensured efficient performance to users, tasks should be efficiently mapped to available resources. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 4 · 3 May 2019 · 7,649 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPERFORMANCE OF TRANSMISSION CONTROL PROTOCOL CONGESTIONCONTROL ALGORITHMS ON TELEDESIC SATELLITES CONSTELLATIONSM. Nirmala, Ramachandra V. PujeriSatellite networking is different from wired or wireless networks. TCP/IP performance and behavior with respect to normal wireless network and wired networks are different from one another. As the architecture of TCP/IP protocol was not designed to perform well over high-latency or noisy channels and so its performance over satellite networks are totally different. The properties of satellite constellations such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 22 Feb 2014 · 7,043 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance Study of Threshold Variations in Temporal Decision Systems for Routing in Vehicular Ad hoc NetworksB. S. Shylaja, V. Mary Anita Rajam, V. Uma Maheswari, Arul SiromoneyProblem statement: Route maintenance and re-discovery are expensive in signaling and computation for routing in Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs). Hence it was desirable to choose the optimal route during the route selection phase. Approach: In this study, the threshold-based routing protocol β-wt uses the notion of threshold from variable precision rough sets. This protocol was used to evaluate routing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 9 Nov 2010 · 6,890 accessesView PDF Cite

Review ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsCognitive Workload Assessment: A Comprehensive ReviewNegin Ozve Aminian, William Michael, Mehdi GhoreyshiMental workload during high-effort tasks is a crucial measure of effective task performance. Maintaining cognitive demands within an individual's capacity enables the effective performance of complex multi-tasking. Conversely, surpassing this margin may lead to unpredictable and suboptimal performance. This review explores human mental workload assessment across real-world tasks like aircraft piloting, vehicle driving under challenging conditions, and automated power plant … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 20 Aug 2025 · 7,554 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Ensemble of Gaussian Mixture Model and Support Vector Machines for Network Intrusion DetectionOlujimi Daniel Alao, Sheriff Alimi, Shade Oluwakemi Kuyoro et al.NetworkIntrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) can protect computer networks and computersystems by detecting abnormal network packets and taking agreed action plans, such as notifying an administrator or rejecting the network packets. In this study, the aim is the implementation of NIDS with improved performance using anensemble of Support Vector Machines (SVMs) and the Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM). Four SVMs with Radial Basis Function (RBF), … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 9 · 21 Sep 2022 · 6,114 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComparative Study of Two Reactive Routing Protocols with Realistic Mobility ModelJohn Tengviel, Agyemang SylvesterA Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) are dynamic wireless networks that can be formed without the need for any existing infrastructure in which each node can act as a host as well as a router. One of the main challenges of MANETs is the design of robust routing protocols that adapt to the frequent and randomly changing network topology. A variety … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 21 Dec 2020 · 6,231 accessesView PDF Cite
