Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsENERGY EFFICIENT AND INTERFERENCE AWARE PROVISIONING IN VIRTUALIZED SERVER CLUSTER ENVIRONMENTMohan Raj Velayudhan Kumar, Shriram RaghunathanIT service providers, employ server virtualization as a main building block to improve system utilization, improve system manageability, reduce operational costs which includes energy consumption driving economies of scale with shared resources. Virtualization enables co-locating and efficient assignments of virtual servers within the bounds of limited number of heterogeneous physical servers, with Virtual Machines (VM) sharing the limited physical server … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Nov 2013 · 6,692 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEpsilon-Insensitive Primal Loss With Support Vector Machine for Robust Cotton Leaf Disease ClassificationPavana Kumar Eramachetty Dhanajayalu, Malathi Sivasamy, Chitveli Siva Balaji YadavCotton diseases significantly reduce both yield and quality of crops, making early and accurate identification of the disease crucial for effective prevention and control. However, achieving a balance between lightweight models and precise classification of cotton diseases remains challenging. This difficulty arises primarily from the dispersed nature of disease symptoms and interference from noisy backgrounds, which complicate the detection process. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 5 Aug 2026 · 755 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMinimizing Interference in Wireless Mesh Networks Based Telemedicine SystemMohammad Siraj, Kamalrulnizam Abu BakarProblem statement: It has been always a challenging task for the researchers to incorporate information technology advancements in the medical profession. In order to guarantee a reliable network infrastructure that supports the employment of wireless technology and mobile devices, a hybrid infrastructure that integrates wireless networks with the traditional wired Local Area Networks (LANs) is needed. The wired network will … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2012 · 8,146 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractInterference Mitigation in IEEE 802.15.4-A Cluster Based Scheduling ApproachG. M. Tamilselvan, A. ShanmugamProblem statement: In universal networking environments; two or more heterogeneous communication systems coexisting in a single place. Especially, Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) based on IEEE 802.11b specifications and Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) based on IEEE 802.15.4 specifications need to coexist in the same Industrial, Science and Medial (ISM) band. If the WPAN communication coverage is expanded using a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,388 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntegrated Metric-Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector: A Routing Protocol over Wireless Mesh NetworksMd. Arafatur Rahman, Farhat Anwar, Md. Saiful AzadProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is an emerging technology for wireless environment. Since WMNs are permanent or semi-permanent network, an efficient and reliable path establishment is the core concern for such type of networks. Several performance metrics has been designed for WMNs such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Expected Transmission Time (ETT), interference Aware Routing Metric (iAWARE), Link Type … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,493 accessesView PDF Cite
