Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Optimized Mobile Cloud Computational Offloading Framework using K-Means AlgorithmMeena Veeraiyan, S. Kousika, J. Senthilkumar, Joy Christy AntonysamiOffloading the execution of heavy computational modules from mobile devices to Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) is inevitable in today’s era as it mainly focuses in consuming less battery power and execution time. But, the problem incurred with identifying the most optimal cloud device to map each module still remains a challenge in cloud computing environment. In this paper, a novel … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 31 Jan 2020 · 8,092 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Intrusion Detection Framework for MEC-Enabled IoT NetworksRofaida Tawfik, Abdelfattah Hegazy, Hesham Dahshan, Ahmed Gaber AbuabdallahMobile Edge Computing (MEC) has emerged as a promising paradigm for supporting latency-sensitive Internet of Things (IoT) applications by bringing computational resources closer to data sources. However, the distributed nature of MEC environments increases exposure to network-based security threats, particularly network intrusions that can impact both system reliability and task offloading efficiency. This paper proposes a security-aware framework that integrates … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2026 · 1,927 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNovel Scheme for Enhancing Storage Management and Performance and Saving Energy of Mobile Cloud ComputingAli A. Yassin, Abdulla J. Yassin, Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Ahmed A. AlkadhmaweeModern industries for smart mobile devices, such as smartphones, provide end users with interactive features that consider network accessibility, computation performance, storage usage, energy saving and limited battery resources. The combination of cloud and mobile computing capabilities has introduced a new technology called Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), which has extended smartphones and modern mobile devices beyond their core capacities. Many … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 9 May 2019 · 7,877 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHYBRID IMPLEMENTATION AND PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS FOR HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTATION WORKLOADJoseph IssaGiven the need to achieve maximum performance possible, offloading intensive computation workload to GPU is a key to achieve this goal. Offloading most of the workload to GPU may not results in desired performance, so a middle approach is more suitable such as splitting the workload between the CPU and the GPU can be considered as an optimized approach. In … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 26 Apr 2014 · 6,520 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractInvestigating Mechanisms of Marginal Settlement Life ImprovementHamid Movahed Mohammadi, Yaser Mohammadi, Mehdi Rahimian, Navid LoghmaniThe main purpose of this research was to investigate mechanisms to improve marginal settlement life in Koohdasht County in Lorestan province. This research was a sort of the survey studies and a questionnaire was compiled for collection of data. Statistical population of this study was included 1560 households; also sampling method was a sort of random sampling. Number of sample … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,715 accessesView PDF Cite
