Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Selection of Multiple Resources Based on Virtual Private Network for Computational GridsG. Kavitha, V. SankaranarayananProblem statement: Grid computing provides a virtual framework for controlled sharing of resources across institutional boundaries. In computational grids, a client application is executed on the available set of resources that satisfy the user QoS requirements. Some applications require exhaustive computation power for execution of its tasks. In general, these tasks are assigned to a single available resource on the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 22 Oct 2011 · 7,607 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleStudy of Network on Chip resources allocation for QoS ManagementAbdelhamid HELALI, Adel SOUDANI, Jamila BHAR, Salem NASRIThe increasing complexity of integrated circuits and application requirements drive the research of new on-chip interconnection architectures. A network on chip draws on concepts inherited from distributed systems and computer networks subject areas to interconnect IP cores in a structured and scalable way. The main goal pursued is to achieve superior bandwidth when compared to conventional on-chip bus architectures. The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2006 · 6,307 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleReducing Network Bandwidth Cost on End User Resources Consumption in Cloud EnvironmentBuchanagandi Enock Nyamajeje, Huiqun YuCloud computing has been envisioned as the next generation and attributed to the increasing growth of mobile devices. Rapid increment, increase demands and bandwidth cost of access cloud resources became essential user perceive incur higher cost for utilizing cloud services. Since researchers have proposed new methods, service provider need to collaborate to ensure reasonable level of QoS. In various methods, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 9 · 25 Nov 2015 · 7,105 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEfficient Multipath Routing and Wavelength Allocation Using Traffic Grooming in Optical Wavelength Division Multiplexing Mesh NetworksV. Rajamani, T. KavithaIn optical WDM mesh networks, traffic grooming is essential in order to utilize the bandwidth efficiently to minimize the cost and meet the user service requirement. By grooming traffic, it is possible to reduce the total cost of all Add drop multiplexer needed. Also for the high processing capability in a WDM network, the path should be capable of carrying … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 19 Sep 2012 · 6,522 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsWays of Fishery Local Life: Processes of Participation in Management of Natural Resources in the Coastal Areas of the Upper Gulf of Eastern AreaSulak Sa-Ngiamlak, Kla Somtrakul, Thipaporn PohthawinProblem statement: Local fishery was an inherited occupation for a long time. The objective of this research were to study: (1) the local fishery lifestyle of community in local fishery on upper area in Gulf of Thailand, (2) the appropriate participation process in natural resource management on upper part in Gulf of Thailand of people and organization and (3) the … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 16 Sep 2011 · 7,866 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Hybrid Model for Load Aware Trust Management in GridK. Selvi, R. S.D. Wahida BanuProblem statement: Trust management in a distributed dynamic environment like grid has been very vital since the allocation of appropriate resources to meet user request influences the success of the system. While considering a set of resources which are loaded invariably, balancing the load also contributes for the efficient resource utilization. Approach: This study proposes a trust calculation model, which … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,531 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAcknowledgment based Reputation Mechanism to Mitigate the Node Misbehavior in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Gopalakrishnan, V. Rhymend UthariarajProblem statement: The cooperation between the nodes is essential to discover and maintain routes in mobile ad hoc network. Due to the presence of misbehaving nodes, the node cooperation is not always guaranteed as the nodes agreed during the route discovery phase. This phenomenon results in frequent network partitioning and it makes the routing process difficult. It also degrades the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2011 · 6,567 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid Fog Resource Provisioning and Resource Allocation using MKFCM and FPANagarjun E, Dharamendra Chouhan, Dilip Kumar SMThe expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) deployments has motivated the Fog Computing (FC) paradigm, which brings mobile-edge and cloud resources together under a single model. Allocating and provisioning application tasks across such environments poses challenges due to constrained resource capabilities, heterogeneity, mobility, network hierarchy, and unpredictability. This paper addresses the need for additional computing devices that prioritize delay-sensitive applications … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 6 Oct 2026 · 462 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntrusion-Resistant Multi-Hop Communication Protocol for Secure Wireless Sensor NetworksRakesh Ranjan, Vaishali Singh, Hitendra SinghModern Internet of Things (IoT) systems are based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which can be distributed to various environments to perform a range of sensing and data aggregation. Their intrinsic deficiencies in computation, energy, and bandwidth, however, make them very vulnerable to routing-layer attacks like black hole and selective forwarding as well as Sybil intrusion.
