Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleTHE RATIONAL BEHIND THE SERVAL NETWORK LAYER FOR RESILIENT COMMUNICATIONSPaul Gardner-Stephen, Andrew Bettison, Romana Challans, Jeremy LakemanThe Internet Protocol is the dominant network protocol used in public networks today and has proven to be highly effective for wired networks and wireless networks alike, provided network address allocation can be coordinated. Mesh networks consisting of highly mobile devices present new challenges, especially when the assumption of coordination does not apply. One situation where coordination is not readily … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 25 Nov 2013 · 7,705 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleC-LOAD POWER CONTROL PROTOCOL-CROSS-LAYER DESIGN OF A NETWORK LAYER LOAD POWER CONTROL PROTOCOL IN WIRELESS AD HOC NETWORKSA. Arivoli, P. NarayanasamyIn wireless ad hoc network scenario, Cross-layer design is emerging, important in wireless ad hoc network and the power control methods. Power control is the intelligent selection of transmit power in a communication to achieve the better performance within the system. Cross-layer is used to sharing the information between the layers. Physical to Transport layer information are shared in this … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 30 Nov 2013 · 7,148 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRobust Adversarial Attack Detection via Generative Adversarial Network With Residual Multi-Layer Aggregation Based Contrastive Loss FunctionAmudha Gopalakrishnan, Nalini JosephAdversarial attacks in medical imaging refer to subtle modifications to images that mislead diagnostic systems, resulting in inaccurate diagnoses and assessments. These attacks exploit vulnerabilities in image processing, leading to misclassification or altered visual features that often go unnoticed. This raises serious concerns about the security and reliability of medical diagnosis, directly impacting clinical decision-making and patient safety. This research … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 10 Feb 2026 · 1,742 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWIRELESS MESH NETWORK CROSS-LAYER INTRUSION DETECTIONF. S. Al-Anzi, S. KhanIntrusion is something which is unsolicited activity and which might be used to interrupt the functions of wireless network. If we talk about wireless networks, having centralized monitoring policy; therefore it is very much easy to detect and eliminate intrusions efficiently. But when we look forward to wireless scenario, especially in the multi hop wireless network, intrusion activities are more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 23 Dec 2014 · 8,278 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Hidden Genetic Layer Based Neural Network for Mobility PredictionL. Velmurugan, P. ThangarajProblem statement: With numerous wireless devices increasingly connecting to the internet, WLAN infrastructure planning becomes very important to maintain desired quality of services. For maintaining desired quality of service it is desirable to know the movement pattern of users. Mobility prediction involves finding the mobile device's next access point as it moves through the wireless network. Hidden Markov models and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 11 Feb 2012 · 7,224 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCross-Layer Design for Reducing the Energy Consumption based on Mobility Parameter in DSR for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworkV. Bhanumathi, R. DhanasekaranProblem statement: The main idea is to design an energy efficient algorithm for reducing the amount of overhearing based on RSS value in a Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET). Approach: A cross layer framework is designed by combining the physical, MAC and network layer. RSS value is taken from the physical layer and it is used for finding the Mobility Parameter … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 28 Jan 2012 · 6,814 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnhancing Wireless Medium Access Control Layer Misbehavior Detection System in IEEE 802.11 NetworkA. M. Alsahag, M. OthmanWireless Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols such as IEEE 802.11 use distributed contention resolution mechanisms for sharing the wireless channel. In this environment, selfish hosts that fail to adhere to the MAC protocol may obtain an unfair throughput share. For example, IEEE 802.11 requires hosts competing for access to the channel to wait for a "back-off" interval, randomly selected from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,963 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCross Layer Optimization Based on Rate Distribution in Multirate Wireless Sensor NetworkHonggang Wang, Dongming Peng, Wei Wang, Hamid SharifIt is important to increase the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) lifetime, due to its limited energy resource, while meeting the constraints of applications. Recent Advances for In-Network Processing (INP) motivate many WSN applications which are based on multi rate and distributed signal processing, and therefore require the support of rate-based routing as well as MAC and link layer designs to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,552 accessesView PDFCite
