Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleImpact of Sybil and Wormhole Attacks in Location Based Geographic Multicast Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworksShyamala Ramachandran, Valli ShanmuganProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks have been used in many applications, such as home automation, military surveillances and entity tracking systems. The sensor nodes have low computational capabilities and are highly resource constrained. Routing protocols of wireless sensor networks are prone to various routing attacks, such as black hole, rushing, wormhole, Sybil and denial of service attacks. Approach: The objective … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,982 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMultiple Constraints for Ant Based Multicast Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksA. Sabari, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is one of the challenging environments for multicast. Since the associated overhead is more, the existing studies illustrate that tree-based and mesh-based on-demand protocols are not the best choice. The costs of the tree under multiple constraints are reduced by the several algorithms which are based on the Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,868 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Performance Study of Reactive Multicast Routing Protocols in Virtual Class Room Using Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Vijayaragavan, K. Duraiswamy, B. Kalaavathi, S. MadhaviProblem statement: A great deal of excitement has recently propelled Mobile Learning to the forefront of educational technology. The exponential growth of mobile technology in the recent years, increase in the availability of high-bandwidth network, advances in wireless technologies and popularity of handheld devices, have opened up new accessibility opportunities for education. Approach: Virtual class room using MANET had been … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2009 · 6,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMULTICAST ROUTING WITH QUALITY OF SERVICE CONSTRAINTS IN THE AD HOC WIRELESS NETWORKSAbdellah Idrissi, Fadoua YakineThe recent multimedia applications and services are very demanding in terms of Quality of Service (QoS). This creates new challenges in ensuring QoS when delivering those services over wireless networks. Motivated by the need of supporting high quality multicast applications in wireless ad hoc networks, we propose a network topology that can minimize the power when connecting the source node … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,890 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleRange Detection Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksR. Velumani, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Many efforts have been implemented towards the Group membership management on multicast routing in MANETs, but the difficulties associated with Group membership management are still existed. Approach: Maintaining endurance of Group Leader (GL) in multicasting routing has been a great challenge to all the protocol having been invented so far. Results: This study provides the RDMP algorithm for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 10 Feb 2012 · 6,486 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Novel Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksZeyad M. Alfawaer, GuiWei Hua, Noraziah AhmedIn mobile ad hoc networks, how to achieve the multicast communication is a challenging task due to the fact that the topology may change frequently and communication links may be broken because of users' mobility. We introduced MANHSI (Multicast for Ad hoe Network with hybrid Swarm Intelligence) protocol, which relies on a swarm intelligence based optimization technique to learn and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 7,297 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleREDUCING CALL BLOCKING PROBABILITY IN HYBRID MULTICAST WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING NETWORKS USING WEIGHTED ROUTING AND WAVELENGTH ASSIGNMENT ALGORITHMD. V. Pradeep Sankar, K. MuneeswaranIn the proposed work, the focus is on increasing the available wavelength in the all-optical networks, for which the Routing and Wavelength Assignment plays a vital role. In the earlier reported work, the wavelengths were assigned to the links which covers a set of destinations but not all the intended destinations. However this proposed work, attempts were made to create … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 13 Nov 2013 · 6,849 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsGROUP MANAGEMENT IN MOBILE ADHOC NETWORKSK. Senthil Kumar, S. Sasi Kumar, C. SugapriyaIn this study, we proposed an algorithm for Cluster Based Zone Allocation method (CBZA) for energy conservation and packet dropping in mobile ad hoc network. MANET is a self-organized, temporarily dynamic network and their nodes are mobile without using any infrastructure. However, secure communication occurs between group nodes based on cluster method. In multicast routing, group information is shared by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 22 Apr 2014 · 6,321 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,038 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRouting Based Data Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Group Key ManagementE. Mohanraj, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a self-organizing system of mobile devices followed an infrastructure less framework associated by wireless links. In MANET, there is a possibility of packet data to get lost or hacked by an attacker. So, to improve a secure communication over MANET from attackers, several techniques have been developed. The previous work developed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 29 Aug 2012 · 6,697 accessesView PDFCite
