Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdapting Linux as Mobile Operating SystemKaushik Velusamy, Shriram K. Vasudevan, Sankari Gopalakrishnan et al.In this fast growing world, people are increasingly mobile; everything is fast, connected and highly secured. All these have put up the requirements on mobile devices and leads to several features being added in the mobile operating systems and its architecture. The development of the next generation software platform based on Linux for mobile phones provides enhanced user experience, power … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 5 Jun 2013 · 6,941 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImplementation of Mobile Applications and Voice Recognition in an IoT-Based System in the Server Room of PT. Ecocare Indo PasifikRaka Dhaneswara, Alexander Agung Santoso GunawanThe progress made on the Internet of Things (IoT) has given an opportunity to people to have control over their home devices from afar using mobile applications. While PT. Ecocare Indo Pasifik (ecoCare) is still in the first few years of its journey through this new digital transformation era, there are some shortcomings on the way it handles its digital … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 11 · 26 Jan 2026 · 1,435 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comprehensive Survey on Applications, Challenges, Threats and Solutions in IoT Environment and ArchitectureSadia Waheed, Savera Hanif, Rubab Hafeez et al.The influence of the Internet of Things (IoT) on how people live, interact and conduct business has rapidly increased. Integrating physical objects with electronic networking, or the Internet of Things (IoT), allows for better communication and environment detection. In coming years, higher service levels will be offered by IoT-based technologies, remarkably changing how people would conduct their daily lives. Currently, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 3 · 30 Jan 2024 · 7,261 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPragmatic Approach to Modeling and Generating Mobile Cross-Platform ApplicationsMohamed Lachgar, Khalid Lamhaddab, Abdelmounaim Abdali, Khalid ElbaamraniAs a result of the ubiquity of smartphones, the number of mobile applications is extensively growing. In order to build native apps that reach all devices, developers should deal with many different operating systems, SDKs, development tools and programming languages, which implies serious effects on cost, time and success of the mobile project. In this study, the main objective is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 28 Mar 2019 · 7,357 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Intrusion Detection System for Wireless Body Area Network in Health Care MonitoringT. V.P. Sundararajan, A. ShanmugamProblem statement: Health monitoring, telemedicine, military, interactive entertainment and portable audio/video systems were most promising applications where WBANs can be used. However, designers of such systems face a number of challenging tasks, as they need to address often quite conflicting requirements for size, operating time, precision and reliability. Network security is very important in Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) since … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 26 Oct 2010 · 6,707 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobile Agents in Wireless LAN and Cellular Data NetworksR. B. Patel, V. K. Katiyar, Vishal GargAdvancing technology in wireless communication offers users anytime, anywhere access to information and network resources without restricting them to the fixed network infrastructure. Mobile computing represents a shift in the distributed systems paradigm. The potential of decoupled and disconnected operation, location-dependent computation and communication and powerful portable computing devices gives rise to opportunities for new patterns of distributed computation that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 7,083 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Analysis of a Highly Available Home Agent in Mobile NetworksAbdelgadir Tageldin Abdelgadir, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Al-Sakib Khan Pathan et al.Problem statement: Network Mobility as a service is provided by the NEMO protocol in IPv6 environments. NEMO is an extension to MIPv6 and thus inherits the same reliability problems of MIPv6. MIPv6 is not reliable because the Home Agent (HA) is a single point of failure. In order to provide real-time services for MIPv6 networks, reliability should be considered as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,159 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Variable Neighborhood Search Algorithm for Assigning Cells to Switches in Wireless NetworksMatthieu Andr, Gilles Pesant, Samuel PierreThe problem of assigning cells to switches in wireless networks consists of minimizing the total operating cost, that is, the cost of linking cells to switches and the cost of handover from one cell to another, by taking into account factors such as network topology, switch capacity and traffic load in the entire network. Such a problem is well known … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,748 accessesView PDFCite
