Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleNovel Scheme for Enhancing Storage Management and Performance and Saving Energy of Mobile Cloud ComputingAli A. Yassin, Abdulla J. Yassin, Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Ahmed A. AlkadhmaweeModern industries for smart mobile devices, such as smartphones, provide end users with interactive features that consider network accessibility, computation performance, storage usage, energy saving and limited battery resources. The combination of cloud and mobile computing capabilities has introduced a new technology called Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), which has extended smartphones and modern mobile devices beyond their core capacities. Many … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 9 May 2019 · 7,871 accessesView PDFCite
Technical ReportOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Mobile Ad hoc Cloud Computing and Networking Infrastructure for Automated Video Surveillance SystemSayed Chhattan ShahMobile automated video surveillance system involves application of real-time image and video processing algorithms which require a vast quantity of computing and storage resources. To support the execution of mobile automated video surveillance system, a mobile ad hoc cloud computing and networking infrastructure is proposed in which multiple mobile devices interconnected through a mobile ad hoc network are combined to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 23 Dec 2017 · 8,500 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid Fog Resource Provisioning and Resource Allocation using MKFCM and FPANagarjun E, Dharamendra Chouhan, Dilip Kumar SMThe expansion of Internet of Things (IoT) deployments has motivated the Fog Computing (FC) paradigm, which brings mobile-edge and cloud resources together under a single model. Allocating and provisioning application tasks across such environments poses challenges due to constrained resource capabilities, heterogeneity, mobility, network hierarchy, and unpredictability. This paper addresses the need for additional computing devices that prioritize delay-sensitive applications … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 6 Oct 2026 · 462 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHuman Activity Recognition at the Edge: A Systematic Review of Machine Learning Models, Deployment Constraints, and Latency Energy Accuracy Trade offsJose Antonio Rojas Guillén, Wini Ebelin Quispe Bautista, Arturo Gamarra MorenoHuman Activity Recognition (HAR) has become a key component of intelligent healthcare monitoring, assisted living, sports analytics, smart environments, and wearable computing. However, the migration of HAR models from cloud-centered architectures to edge, embedded, mobile, and wearable platforms introduces constraints related to computational capacity, memory footprint, battery consumption, inference time, and real-time responsiveness. This study presents a systematic literature review … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 8 · 7 Sep 2026 · 593 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Simulation of Mobile-Based Bank Teller Application for Managing Waiting Time of CustomersAhmed Sakr, Omar M. Elzeki, Hazem El-BakryIn business decision-making, the queuing system is one of the options employed to satisfy the demands of a particular service system for resource needs. The queuing theory has been used successfully by various business service industries. There are many types of queuing systems that can predict waiting times and queue lengths. The First In First Out (FIFO) algorithm works like … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 3 · 11 Feb 2023 · 6,149 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Optimized Mobile Cloud Computational Offloading Framework using K-Means AlgorithmMeena Veeraiyan, S. Kousika, J. Senthilkumar, Joy Christy AntonysamiOffloading the execution of heavy computational modules from mobile devices to Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) is inevitable in today’s era as it mainly focuses in consuming less battery power and execution time. But, the problem incurred with identifying the most optimal cloud device to map each module still remains a challenge in cloud computing environment. In this paper, a novel … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 31 Jan 2020 · 8,084 accessesView PDFCite
