VadivelAutomated fingerprint matching is considered as the most challenging phase of fingerprint recognition since it can be affected by a variety of factors such as noise, skin condition, rotation, distortions and displacements. When there is a large database, the search time to get a matching fingerprint will be relatively high. To reduce the searching time in the database, we have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 15 Mar 2019 · 7,566 accessesView PDFCite

PonnarasiProblem statement: As the importance of automatic personal identification applications increases, biometrics particularly fingerprint identification is the most consistent and greatly acknowledged technique. A very important step in automatic fingerprint recognition system is to extract the minutiae points from the input fingerprint images automatically and quickly. Approach: Fingerprints from the database FVC2002 (DB1-a) is used for experimental purpose. The minutiae … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 9 Aug 2012 · 7,642 accessesView PDFCite
