Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSize, Coupling and Cohesion Metrics for Product-Line Architecture Evaluation: Proposal and Experimental ValidationAndre F.R. Cordeiro, Edson OliveiraJrSoftware Product Line (SPL) is an approach for de facto reusing of software artifacts for a given domain. Amongst the artifacts developed in the context of SPL is the Product-Line Architecture (PLA). It is one of the central artifacts of the SPL core assets responsible for abstracting a common architecture for specific products. Organizations should continuously evaluate the quality of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 3 · 22 Mar 2018 · 8,374 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCommon Fixed Point Theorems for Four Maps in G-Partial Metric SpacesKanayo Stella Eke, Grace O. AkinlabiThe common fixed point principle for two set of maps satisfying specified contractive conditions in cone metric spaces is proved in the context of G-partial metric space and none of the maps involved therein is continuous. Our research outcome extends well known similar results available in the literature. …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 3 · 10 Mar 2017 · 7,287 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComputational Analysis of Network ODE Systems in Metric Spaces: An ApproachSusmit BagchiTraditionally, the concepts of graph theory are applied to design stationary computer networks and, to analyze dynamics of social networks. However, the majority of non-stationary network models are formulated by using Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE) with varying orders having homogeneous or non-homogeneous forms. However, the analysis of continuous solution spaces of ODE and understanding of the interplay of spaces in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 1 · 1 Mar 2017 · 7,891 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleContinuity Function on Partial Metric SpaceFitri Aryani, Hafiz Mahmud, Corry Corazon Marzuki et al.Ordered pairs form of a metric space (S,d), where d is the metric on a nonempty set S. Concept of partial metric space is a minimal generalization of a metric space where each x∈S,d(x,x) does not need to be zero, in other terms is known as non-self-distance. Axiom obtained from the generalization is following properties p(x,x)≤p(x,y) for every x,y∈S. The … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 12, Issue 4 · 13 Nov 2016 · 7,205 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn the Generation of Equivalent 'Black Hole' Metrics: A ReviewStephen J. CrothersVarious line-elements purporting different types of black hole universes have been advanced by cosmologists but a means by which the required infinite set of equivalent metrics can be generated has evaded them. Without such a means the theory of black holes is not only incomplete but also ill-posed. Notwithstanding, the mathematical form by which the infinite set of equivalent metrics … …Space Science International, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 6 Jul 2015 · 13,560 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleGENERAL CONTRACTIVE MAPPING CONDITION OF FUZZY METRIC SPACES IN FIXED POINT THEOREMRamasamy Mohan Raj, Veerachamy Malliga DeviIn several ways, related fixed point theorems on two or three metric spaces have been demonstrated. By applying contractive condition of integral type for class of weakly compatible maps in uncompleted intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces without considering any continuous mappings, in this paper, we verify some frequent fixed point theorems for different mappings. …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 6 Feb 2014 · 6,847 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Performance Metric for Building an Optimized ClassifierMohammad Hossin, Md Nasir Sulaiman, Aida Mustapha, Norwati MustaphaProblem statement: Typically, the accuracy metric is often applied for optimizing the heuristic or stochastic classification models. However, the use of accuracy metric might lead the searching process to the sub-optimal solutions due to its less discriminating values and it is also not robust to the changes of class distribution. Approach: To solve these detrimental effects, we propose a novel … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 8,477 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrated Metric-Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector: A Routing Protocol over Wireless Mesh NetworksMd. Arafatur Rahman, Farhat Anwar, Md. Saiful AzadProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is an emerging technology for wireless environment. Since WMNs are permanent or semi-permanent network, an efficient and reliable path establishment is the core concern for such type of networks. Several performance metrics has been designed for WMNs such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Expected Transmission Time (ETT), interference Aware Routing Metric (iAWARE), Link Type … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,493 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Control-Oriented Coverage Metric and its Evaluation for Hardware DesignsShireesh Verma, Kiran Ramineni, Ian G. HarrisProblem statement: Dynamic verification, the use of simulation to determine design correctness, is widely used due to its tractability for large hardware designs. A serious limitation of dynamic techniques is the difficulty in determining whether or not a test sequence is sufficient to detect all likely design errors. Coverage metrics are used to address this problem by providing a set … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 7,528 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTowards A Dynamic Object-Oriented Design Metric Plug-in FrameworkC. H. Loh, S. P. LeeProblem Statement: The evolution of software is made difficult by the need to integrate new features with all previously implemented features in software applications. Approach: present study introduced a general-purpose, platform-independent object-oriented design metric plug-in framework called jmetric intended to help building scalable, extendable object-oriented design metric plug-ins. jmetric seeks to address problem by providing the plug-in developer a structured … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,911 accessesView PDFCite
