Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe q-Riccati AlgebraAmna Hasan, Hakeem A. Othman, Sami H. AltoumFor q∈(0, 1), we introduce the q-Riccati Lie algebra. Using the q-derivative (or Jackson derivative), we give a representation of this Lie algebra. …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 14 Jan 2020 · 6,980 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEfficient Pose Tracking based on Line Segment MatchingJunqiu Wang, Jingjing Cui, Yanjie Gao et al.Pose tracking is a crucial issue for many applications such as robotic tasks and facility operations. Vision-based approaches with non-contact properties are appropriate choices for these tasks. However, vision-based approaches are not sufficiently robust and fast. In this work, we propose a vision-based pose tracking to deal with these problems. We estimate poses using Lie group and Lie algebra representation … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 1 · 27 Dec 2018 · 7,848 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsq- sl2 and Associated Wave and Heat EquationsSami H. AltoumFor q∈(0, 1), the q- deformation of the sl2 Lie algebra (denoted by q-sl2) is introduced and we give its representation. The heat and wave equations associated to the genrators of the q-sl2 are studied. …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 12 May 2018 · 7,803 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNilpotence and the Generalized Uncertainty Principle (S)Nikos KalogeropoulosWe point out that some of the proposed generalized/modified uncertainty principles originate from solvable, or nilpotent at appropriate limits, &#34deformations&#34 of Lie algebras. We briefly comment on formal aspects related to the well-posedness of one of these algebras. We point out a potential relation of such algebras with Classical Mechanics in the spirit of the symplectic non-squeezing theorem. We also … …Space Science International, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 23 Jan 2014 · 7,308 accessesView PDF Cite
