Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleLayout Optimization in a Fitness Industry: An Application of QAP Formulation and Heuristic Approachesİbrahim Miraç Eligüzel, Eren Özceylan, Yakup AtasagunThe Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP) is the problem of determining a one-to-one and onto assignment between two sets, each consisting of n objects (e.g., n facilities and n locations) so as to minimize the sum of the distance × flow associated with pairs of assignments. In this study, QAP formulation is applied to a fitness center to assign the sports … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 4 · 3 May 2021 · 6,681 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Approach for Differentiating AI-Generated and Real Images Using Gabor and Color Layout Filters (GF and CLF)G. Ayyappan, A. Thankaraj, S. Surendran et al.The emergence of generative AI images has profoundly upended the art world. Distinguishing AI-generated images from human-created artwork is increasingly challenging. If this issue remains unresolved, dishonest individuals may exploit those who are willing to pay more for original artwork and businesses whose stated policies exclude AI graphics. There are a number of methods for differentiating AI photos from human … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 3 Mar 2026 · 1,751 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStrengthening of Laminated Glass Windows against Windborne Debris ImpactXihong Zhang, Qingfei Meng, Chiara Bedon, Piotr W. SielickiThis paper presents numerical modelling to study potential mitigation methods to improve the impact resistance performance of laminated glass windows against timber windborne debris impact. A detailed numerical model of laminated glass window is generated and validated with laboratory impact tests. The influence of supporting frames made of different stiffness materials is examined. Numerical simulation shows that boundary condition has … …International Journal of Structural Glass and Advanced Materials Research, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 16 Nov 2020 · 6,883 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAndroid Based Energy Aware Framework for Porting Legacy ApplicationsNaeem Zafar AzeemiTrend is growing towards using complex multimedia functions on smaller devices. In this study, we explore the effect of migrating legacy signal processing software applications algorithms from large form factor devices to the smaller one such as handheld mobile devices known as Energy Conscious Mobile Computing Systems (EConMCS). We concentrate on Source Code Volatility (SCV), including inherent algorithm complexity and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 12 · 3 Jan 2015 · 6,288 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractScheduling of Automated Guided Vehicle and Flexible Jobshop using Jumping Genes Genetic AlgorithmP. Paul Pandian, S. Saravana Sankar, S. G. Ponnambalam, M. Victor RajProblem statement: Now a day’s many researchers try Genetic algorithm based optimization to find near optimal solution for flexible job shop. It is a global search. In Our study in the GA, some changes are made to search locally and globally by adding jumping genes operation. A typical flexible job shop model is considered for this research study. For that … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 25 Aug 2012 · 7,306 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhanced Clustering Techniques for Hyper Network Planning using Minimum Spanning Trees and Ant-Colony AlgorithmLamiaa Fattouh IbrahimProblem statement: The process of network planning is divided into two sub steps. The first step is determining the location of the Multi Service Access Node (MSAN). The second step is the construction of subscriber network lines from MSAN to subscribers to satisfy optimization criteria and design constraints. Due to the complexity of this process artificial intelligence and clustering techniques … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 6,813 accessesView PDFCite
