Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSimulation of Voltage Stability and Alleviation Through Knowledge Based SystemA. Arunagiri, B. VenkateshModern power systems are large sized and rapidly growing. They require constant attention to monitor their performance. Attention is also required to ensure that the voltage stability margin of the power system is above a desired level. In order to achieve the objective, this study proposes a knowledge-based system. It computes using simple Fast De-Coupled Load Flow (FDLF), the state … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2004 · 6,816 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleKnowledge Based Bayesian Network Construction Algorithm for Medical Data Fusion to Enhance Services and DiagnosisAhmed SamehTraditional Bayesian networks' algorithms are treating the network construction process as an isolated and autonomous data-driven trial-and-error process and completely ignoring the domain knowledge. In this work we are proposing a new 'Semantically Aware Ontology-Based Bayesian Network construction algorithm' that is knowledge centered instead of data centered. The objective of the new algorithm is to empower patients through improving their … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 28 May 2019 · 8,035 accessesView PDFCite

Autonomous robots are increasingly evident in many aspects of industry and everyday life and a robust robot motion control can be used for homeland security and many consumer applications. This study discussed the adaptive fuzzy knowledge based controller for robot … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 30 Jul 2010 · 6,909 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleKnowledge Based System for Visual Computing of Depth in 2D Images of Geometric Objects Like Straight Lines, Planes and Solids and their Applications in Engineering GraphicsM. Narayana Rao, V. VaithyaNathanAn attempt was made in this study, to develop a ”Knowledge Based System” for i)computing the depth (or the third dimension) of 3D objects, ii) computing the inclinations of 2D planes with predefined reference planes and iii) computing the inclinations of a straight line with predefined reference planes. The development of the proposed “Knowledge Based System” was based on the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,204 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Hybrid Clustering Process using a Genetic Fuzzy System for the Knowledge Base of a Fuzzy Rule-Based SystemHamedoun Lamiae, Attariuas Hicham, Ben Maati Mohamed LarbiThe present paper proposes a new Hybrid clustering Process based on Fuzzy Genetic System. The proposed Approach consists of two steps: (1) Using a method called Fuzzy clustering, all data elements will be clustered into N groups; (2) utilizing a Fuzzy Genetic System, for every level the fuzzy rule of adhesion will be generated. If we compare our research to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 12 · 6 Feb 2017 · 6,644 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleKnowledge-based System of Indian Culture using Ontology with Customized Named Entity RecognitionHarsh Raj, Kumar Harsh, Payal Khattri, Tanwir Uddin HaiderIndian culture is a blend of diversified ethics with different cultures and religions. There arise the sustainable challenges for the people of inter societies and religions to participate in the regional events with lack of cultural information like types of cuisines eaten; rituals followed etc. The existing search engines using a keyword-based approach make it difficult for people to find … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 3 · 30 Mar 2022 · 6,613 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDEVELOPMENT OF INSPECTION SYSTEM FOR CORROSION CRACK IN R.C. FOR SECOND TUNNEL LINING BY USING KNOWLEDGE-BASED SYSTEMYousif Abdulwahid Mansoor, ZhiQiang ZhangDuring the last two or three decades, incidence of failure of reinforced concrete structures has been seen widely for many reasons, such as increasing service loads and/or durability problems and the economic losses due to such failures are costly. Nowadays, the size and the form of repair and rehabilitation market are too large since there has been an increased emphasis … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 27 Aug 2012 · 7,659 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOntology-based Knowledge Networks for users' training: The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) caseMacris AristomenisThis paper presents a prototype model for the design and development of training material, where both the multimedia objects used in training scenarios and the knowledge built into them are captured and fully reusable. Knowledge found in the logic, the structure and the ways of use of domain specific literacy is represented as a knowledge network (a collection of educational … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2006 · 6,659 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Transformation-oriented Methodology to Knowledge-based Conceptual Data Warehouse DesignOpim S. Sitompul, Shahrul A. NoahApplications of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the form of knowledge-based systems within the context of database design have been extensively researched particularly to provide support within the conceptual design phase. However, a similar approach to the task of data warehouse design has yet to be seriously initiated. In this paper, we proposed a design methodology for conceptual data warehouse … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,731 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOntology Based Knowledge Management System Design for Organic FarmingMuqeem Ahmed, Afrah Fathima, Mohammad Islam et al.In the current agricultural system, information is often gathered manually, and farmers make decisions based on their judgment. Occasionally, they seek advice from experts and extension officers. Numerous information systems have recently emerged, offering insights into organic farming practices. However, this information is dispersed across various contexts, formats, and media on the Internet, making it challenging to access. Utilizing ontology … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2026 · 1,436 accessesView PDFCite
