Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsExtracting Unique Personal Identification Number from IrisNenad Nestorovic, P.W.C. Prasad, Abeer Alsadoon, Amr ElchouemiThe aim of this research is to propose an enhanced model that significantly reduces the noise in the iris templates and thus present an efficient and reliable iris recognition system. Accuracy of Iris recognition system significantly depends on reducing noise at every stage of recognition process especially at eye image acquisition and iris segmentation stages. The proposed Iris recognition model … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 7 Jul 2017 · 8,132 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Feature Extraction Methodology using Wavelet Transform for the Development of Person Identification System using Iris BiometricsSulochana Sonkamble, Ravindra ThoolProblem statement: We proposed a new method for feature extraction of an Iris image for personal identification system. Approach: This study purposed a new approach to extract the features of region of interest using the wavelet transform. The extracted Iris region could be normalizing into a rectangular block of fixed dimensions. The Gabor wavelet transform techniques had been applied on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 23 Jul 2011 · 7,061 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFacial Features for Template Matching Based Face RecognitionChai Tong Yuen, M. Rizon, Woo San San, Tan Ching SeongProblem statement: Template matching had been a conventional method for object detection especially facial features detection at the early stage of face recognition research. The appearance of moustache and beard had affected the performance of features detection and face recognition system since ages ago. Approach: The proposed algorithm aimed to reduce the effect of beard and moustache for facial features … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2009 · 9,375 accessesView PDF Cite
