Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSTUDY OF THE INTERFRAGMENTARY STRAIN AND THE INTERFRAGMENTARY MODULUS WITH CHANGING THE DISTANCE BETWEEN PLATE AND FEMURBoonthum WongchaiFor several years the distance between plate and femur has been studied for preventing the damage to the blood supply by the contact pressure between plate and femur. The Limited Contact Dynamics Compression Plate (LC-DCP) is normally used to create the distance by using the locking screws. However, increasing of the distance between plate and femur affects the interfragmentary stain … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 28 Dec 2013 · 6,851 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEffect of the Screw Torque Level on the Interfragmentary Strain and the Interfragmentary ModulusBoonthum WongchaiThe screw torque is applied at the screw head to fix the plate and the bone. It generates the compressive force between the plate and the bone to stabilize them. The interfragmentary strain is the main factor for healing the bone fractured. The screw torque level affects the interfragmentary strain and the stability of the fixation between the plates an … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,474 accessesView PDFCite
