Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDevelopment of a Fuzzy Logic Controller for Real-time Energy Optimization of a Hybrid vehicleSk. Khairul Hasan, Anoop Kumar DhingraThe ability to combine positive features of an internal combustion engine with those of an electric motor has been fundamental to the advancement of the high-performance energy-optimized hybrid vehicles. However, due to a lack of reliable and realistic hybrid vehicle models, much of the hybrid vehicle controller research has been limited to computer simulations. To overcome this shortcoming, this paper … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 21 Oct 2020 · 6,950 accessesView PDFCite

Raihan, Riza MuhidaProblem statement: Recently, influx of research afford is being concentrated in automobile engineering to develop low emission hybrid electric vehicle to reduce the greenhouse gases such as hydro-carbons, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, produces from the vehicle. Approach: Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) powered by electric machines and an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) are a promising mean of reducing emissions and fuel … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 25 Aug 2012 · 7,197 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleConversion of a Conventional Vehicle into a Battery-Super Capacitor Hybrid VehicleAnuradha Herath, Pasan Gunawardena, Vimukthi Randeny et al.The use of a super capacitor pack parallel with a battery pack in electric vehicles can have effects on the battery life as well as on the driving range of the vehicle. In this research a conventional IC engine vehicle was converted into a motor driven electric vehicle. The converted vehicle was tested on a drive cycle defined to match … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 11 Oct 2018 · 7,705 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMathematical Modeling of the Three Phase Induction Motor Couple to DC Motor in Hybrid Electric VehicleZulkarnain Lubis, A. N. Abdalla, Mortaza, Ruzlaini GhonProblem statement: With emphasis on a cleaner environment and efficient operation, vehicles today rely more and more heavily on electrical power generation for success. Approach: Mathematical modeling the components of the HEV as the three phase induction motor couple to DC motor in hybrid electric vehicle was introduced. The controller of Induction Motor (IM) was designed based on input-output feedback … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,309 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSolving the Vehicle Routing Problem with Stochastic Demands via Hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Tabu SearchZ. Ismail, IrhamahThis study considers a version of the stochastic vehicle routing problem where customer demands are random variables with known probability distribution. A new scheme based on a hybrid GA and Tabu Search heuristic is proposed for this problem under a priori approach with preventive restocking. The relative performance of the proposed HGATS is compared to each GA and TS alone, … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2008 · 7,951 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA TIME SYNCHRONIZED HYBRID VEHICULAR AD HOC NETWORK OF ROADSIDE SENSORS AND VEHICLES FOR SAFE DRIVINGDahlia Sam, V. Cyril RajVANET is a type of ad hoc network in which the moving vehicles act as nodes. There has been lot of research for using VANETs in many applications. One of the main applications is the use of VANETs to improve driving safety. In any safety related applications, the vehicular nodes have to constantly communicate with each other and the roadside … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 10 Apr 2014 · 8,109 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Approach for Detection and Recognition of VehiclesK. S. Selvanayaki, Rm. SomaSundaramOn road vehicles have increased in numbers and monitoring them is a challenging task. In common areas of public crowd people and vehicles are common objects for monitoring. The proposed system aims at detecting number plate information indicating the possibility for security relevant issues. Existing system performs recognition mainly by using license plate alone. Addition of the features (logo, colour, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 6 Sep 2014 · 7,430 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsApplication of Hybrid Encoding Genetic Algorithm on Pickup and Delivery Traveling Salesman Problem with Traffic ConditionsSupat PatvichaichodProblem statement: This study deals with the pickup and delivery traveling salesman problem with traffic conditions (PDTSPTW), an extension of the pickup and delivery traveling salesman problem (PDTSP) where each customer to be served is associated with two quantities of product to be collected and delivered. Almost PDTSP problems uses distance between each point of customers as Euclidean Distance and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,779 accessesView PDFCite
