Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleHMA-RAG: A Hierarchical Memory Augmented Retrieval Augmented Generation Framework for Fake News DetectionAfnan Altarjami, Sawsan AlshattnawiExisting methods for detecting fake news, such as traditional machine learning and transformer-based models, often work as separate classifiers that do not use outside evidence, historical knowledge, or ways to make the results easier to understand. This paper presents a framework that combines retrieval augmentation and hierarchical memory to overcome three primary constraints: Insufficient external evidence, the absence of memory, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 7 Sep 2026 · 735 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsInternet of Things and Human Neocortex Inspired Algorithms for the Plant Disease Prediction-Sheath Blight for Paddy PlantThangaraj Ethilu, K. Parthiban, Arockia Jayadhas S et al.Sheath blight disease (Rhizoctonia solani) poses a critical threat to paddy (Oryza sativa) production, causing up to 50% yield losses under conducive environmental conditions. Existing computer vision-based disease detection systems identify infections only after symptom manifestation, while conventional machine learning prediction models suffer from high computational demands, data preprocessing requirements, and noise sensitivity. This research proposes a novel Hierarchical Temporal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 11 · 18 Dec 2025 · 1,772 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDual-Branch Shape Texture Learning With Pyramid Residual and Sobel Edge Layers for Rice Variety ClassificationM Pradeep, M SiddappaAutomated rice variety classification categorizes rice types based on features, such as grain texture, shape, color, and size. Traditional handcrafted feature-based models fail at rice classification due to lighting variations, background noise, and environmental conditions, leading to overlapping visual characteristics and frequent misclassification. To address these challenges, this research proposes a novel Dual-Branch Convolutional Neural Network with Pyramid Residual Units … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 24 Sep 2026 · 627 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid BiGRU-BiLSTM Model for Real-Time ECG Arrhythmia Detection Using Wearable SensorsPrem Narayan Singh, Rajendra Prasad MahapatraAccurate and real-time detection of cardiac arrhythmias is essential for timely medical intervention. Advances in wearable devices and deep learning have made it feasible to continuously monitor electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, facilitating early identification of abnormal heart rhythms. For arrhythmia detection, this study presents a hybrid deep learning architecture combining Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Units (Bi-GRU) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 5 Jun 2026 · 1,331 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEDGE PRESERVED IMAGE COMPRESSION USING EXTENDED SHEARLET TRANSFORMS. Thayammal, D. SelvathiThe motivation of the proposed compression method is to reduce the bit rate for image transmission or memory requirement for image storage while maintaining image quality. The edges are one of the prominent features in an image and they are essential for maintaining image quality. JPEG compression standards like JPEG98 and JPEG2000 produce visual artifacts in reconstructed image at low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 15 Sep 2014 · 7,041 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOverview on Key Distribution Primitives in Wireless Sensor NetworkM. Raghini, N. Uma Maheswari, R. VenkateshOwing to the security requirements of wireless sensor network, the background of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is to be analyzed with different threats and attack models. Physical compromising of sensor nodes by an adversary is an emerging problem in sensor network and accordingly, it is necessary to provide an environment with efficient key management techniques due to resource constraints on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 17 May 2013 · 6,177 accessesView PDFCite
