Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAssessment of Ecotourism Travel Risk on Word-of-Mouth: Via Fuzzy Set PerspectiveFangyi Liu, Cheng-Hsi Fang, Hsueh-Lan Chan, Tom Meng-Yen LinBecause of the subjective cognition on Word-Of Mouth (WOM) influence and the fuzziness on perceived-risk judgment, perceived risk in WOM Influence is a venture variable, which cannot be measured directly. The aim of this study is to define the mathematics meaning of the influence and develop a new fuzzy set method to build the influence membership function to exactly measure … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 31 May 2013 · 7,143 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Estimation of Rainfall using Fuzzy Set-Genetic Algorithms ModelTeerawat Thongwan, Anongrit Kangrang, Sahalaph HomwuttiwongProblem statement: Damaged by floods are natural disasters that have violence cause significant damage and economic and social. If we can prevent disasters that may occur in advance is important. So an estimated rainfall data is important information for prevention disasters. Approach: The objective of this study is to apply a fuzzy set theory to estimate rainfall. The genetic algorithm … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 28 Jan 2011 · 8,020 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleImproving the Accuracy of Effort Estimation through Fuzzy Set Representation of SizeCh. Satyananda Reddy, KVSVN RajuProblem statement: The precision and reliability of the effort estimation is very important for the competitiveness of software companies. The uncertainty at the input level of the Constructive Cost Model (COCOMO) yields uncertainty at the output, which leads to gross estimation error in the effort estimation. Fuzzy logic-based cost estimation models are more appropriate when vague and imprecise information was … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2009 · 7,085 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnhanced Decision Support System Applications Based on Complex Intuitionistic Fuzzy Soft Expert Sets TheoryMalek Alksasbeh, Mohammad Al-kaseasbeh, Saba Al-Kaseasbeh et al.Decision making is one of the important milestones in the development of various real-life aspects. Decision Support System (DSS) is a computerized information system used to enhance decision-making in several areas. This study aims to improve DSS applications by extending two concepts of complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets and soft expert sets to propose the theory of complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 5 · 27 Nov 2017 · 7,762 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCoordinated Transformation for Fuzzy Autocatalytic Set of Fuzzy Graph Type-3Tahir Ahmad, Sumarni Abu Bakar, Sabariah Baharun, Faisal A.M. BinjadhnanFuzzy Autocatalytic Set (FACS) of fuzzy graph Type-3 was established in the effort to describe the underlying phenomena of a clinical waste incineration process. Further research could be explored to scrutinize this concept especially in looking at its mathematical structure. In this paper, we highlighted the mathematical structures of FACS particularly on the algebraic structures of its matrix and graph. … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 31 Jan 2016 · 7,148 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Optimal Path Management Strategy in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Fuzzy and Rough Set TheoryP. Seethalakshmi, M. Joseph Auxilius Jude, G. RajendranProblem statement: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a network. Most of the existing ad-hoc routing algorithms select the shortest path using various resources. However the selected path may not consider all the network parameters and this would result in link instability in the network. The problems with existing methods are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 15 Oct 2011 · 7,667 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAttribute Reduction in Bipolar Intuitionistic Fuzzy Relation SystemWeiyuan Wang, Qian WangBipolar intuitionistic fuzzy relation system (BIFRS) effectively characterize the bipolarity in real-world data by introducing positive and negative membership and non-membership degrees. To address redundancy caused by high-dimensional attributes, this paper proposes an attribute reduction method based on bipolar intuitionistic discernibility matrices. By constructing positive discernibility matrix M+∗ matrix M−∗ and negative discernibility , we systematically identify the minimal attribute … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 16 Jul 2026 · 1,063 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsIoT Anomaly Detection Using Picture Fuzzy Clustering ApproachFehmin Nadira Laskar, Vijo Arul Selvi M., Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya et al.Improving the effectiveness of security systems without slowing them down is a major challenge in cybersecurity. Many methods have been explored for detecting anomalous behaviour in network data, with fuzzy set-based approaches standing out for their potential. The Internet of Things (IoT) consists of many connected devices that constantly generate large amounts of data and perform tasks in real time. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 6 Mar 2026 · 1,515 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDetecting Anomalies in IoT Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Clustering AlgorithmsVijo Arul Selvi M., Fehmin Nadira Laskar, Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya et al.Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) are convenient ways to represent the vagueness and uncertainty inherent in any dataset. There are many uses of these. One such use is the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) algorithm, which clusters the data objects into a pre-assigned (c) number of fuzzy clusters, which has been adopted in many fields, namely, pattern classification, anomaly detection, fraud identification, etc. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2026 · 1,600 accessesView PDFCite
