Embedding digital technologies within operational workflows is driven by the objective of improving efficiency and long-term sustainability. The core transformation is Artificial Intelligence (AI) that revolutionizes management of cities through automation and instantaneous decisions based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 19 Jul 2026 · 820 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAttribute Reduction in Bipolar Intuitionistic Fuzzy Relation SystemWeiyuan Wang, Qian WangBipolar intuitionistic fuzzy relation system (BIFRS) effectively characterize the bipolarity in real-world data by introducing positive and negative membership and non-membership degrees. To address redundancy caused by high-dimensional attributes, this paper proposes an attribute reduction method based on bipolar intuitionistic discernibility matrices. By constructing positive discernibility matrix M+∗ matrix M−∗ and negative discernibility , we systematically identify the minimal attribute … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 16 Jul 2026 · 1,063 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnhancing Social Media Face Emotion Recognition Using a Fuzzy ELM ApproachShuchi Gupta, K. Viswanath, S. Gokul Pran et al.Our computational tools for searching, exploring, and sharing personal photographs are falling behind the rapid pace at which these images are being captured digitally. The use of automatic face recognition to categorize images according to the people in them is one potential solution. Accurate recognition on the Internet scale, however, presents the seemingly insurmountable challenge of picking out specific people … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 20 Mar 2026 · 1,978 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIoT Anomaly Detection Using Picture Fuzzy Clustering ApproachFehmin Nadira Laskar, Vijo Arul Selvi M., Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya et al.Improving the effectiveness of security systems without slowing them down is a major challenge in cybersecurity. Many methods have been explored for detecting anomalous behaviour in network data, with fuzzy set-based approaches standing out for their potential. The Internet of Things (IoT) consists of many connected devices that constantly generate large amounts of data and perform tasks in real time. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 6 Mar 2026 · 1,515 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDetecting Anomalies in IoT Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Clustering AlgorithmsVijo Arul Selvi M., Fehmin Nadira Laskar, Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya et al.Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) are convenient ways to represent the vagueness and uncertainty inherent in any dataset. There are many uses of these. One such use is the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) algorithm, which clusters the data objects into a pre-assigned (c) number of fuzzy clusters, which has been adopted in many fields, namely, pattern classification, anomaly detection, fraud identification, etc. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2026 · 1,600 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of a Synchronous Reference Frame Controlled Fuzzy Logic Based Distribution Static Compensator to Enhance Distribution System Power QualityRekha Sampath, Lokesh Mallaiah, Ashwini A V et al.The demand for enhanced power quality in distribution systems has increased due to the widespread utilization of various AC loads, including rectifiers, inductive loads, and variable speed drives. When these nonlinear loads are combined with renewable energy sources, harmonics are introduced in the system. These can affect the way other equipment in the network works and leave the system vulnerable … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 27 Feb 2026 · 1,710 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Popular Fuzzy-TOPSIS as the Main Method for Decision Model: An Object-Driven Model for Bibliometric-Based Literature ReviewDitdit Nugeraha UtamaFuzzy logic serves as a computational modeling method, particularly prominent in the research domain of decision models. To assess the prevalent trends in the utilization of fuzzy logic in the research landscape of decision models and its common combinations with other methods, a conceptual model for article review was developed. This study involved three simple stages: Bibliometric analysis, article review … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 11 · 11 Sep 2024 · 4,811 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMeasuring Uncertainty to Extract Fuzzy Membership Functions in Recommender SystemsHeersh Azeez Khorsheed, Sadegh AminifarNowadays, due to the high volume of choices for customers which causes confusion, the use of recommender systems is strongly growing. Of course, existing systems have two problems, one is complexity and the other is failure to consider uncertainty. In this article, we have reduced the complexity of the system by using a fuzzy innovative system and solved the problem … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 11 · 15 Oct 2023 · 5,491 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Approach of Satellite Image Enhancement Using DWT Based on 2-Type Fuzzy LogicSurjeet Singh Patel, Vivek Kumar Tamta, Abhilekh Bartwal et al.This study proposes a new approach to enhance the dark and low-contrast satellite images captured under poor illumination. Images are converted from RGB to HSV color space in order to separate the Hue (H), Saturation (S), and luminance (V) components. Enhancement is achieved in saturation and luminance components using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and 2-type fuzzy logic. DWT breaks the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 9 · 15 Aug 2023 · 5,182 accessesView PDFCite
