Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleBayesian Estimation for Lomax Distribution: A Comparison of Loss Functions Using Jeffreys PriorsHuda Mohammed AlomariThis study investigates the estimation of the shape parameter for the Lomax distribution using complete data. We compare the performance of the classical Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE) method against the Bayesian framework. Within the Bayesian approach, three distinct loss functions were utilized: the linear exponential (LINEX), general entropy, and weighted general entropy loss functions. The precision of these estimators was … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 24 Dec 2025 · 2,635 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleClassification and Spatial Distribution of Macronutrients and Micronutrients in the Soil of Greenhouse Sweet CherriesLijin Qin, Qingxiang Wang, Yongli Lv et al.To understand the distribution of trace elements in the soil of greenhouse sweet cherry, using soil samples from solar greenhouse sweet cherry orchards in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia as the object, the trace element indicators in the soil of different sweet cherry production areas were analyzed using the "S" shaped 5-point sampling method. Descriptive statistics were conducted. The results showed that … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 21, Issue 2 · 9 Oct 2025 · 2,174 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Unicast/Multicast Authentication and Key Distribution Protocols for Smart GridSamah Mohamed Sayed, Heba Kamal Aslan, Ayman Mohamed HassanThis study discusses the problem of key distribution protocol in IoT systems especially smart grids for two modes of communication: Unicast and multicast. In the present paper, we suggested two protocols for key distribution for both unicast and multicast communication. The proposed schemes are based on symmetric key encryption with cryptographic primitives: Hashes and nonces. In addition, the multicast key … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 4 · 4 Jan 2023 · 5,424 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Quantum Key Distribution Protocol Based on Random Bell Pair SelectionDevendar Rao Babu, Ramkumar JayaramanThe traditional security system, which depends on asymmetric and symmetric key exchange protocol, is now under threat due to recent developments in quantum computing. In order to generate the safe key without storing the qubit by the sender or recipient trustworthy parties, a unique Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) protocol was presented. Four random classical bits coupled to generate a pair … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 9 · 28 Aug 2023 · 5,431 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSpatial Distribution and Evaluation of Heavy Metal Pollution in Soil Based on Three-Dimensional Model and Kriging InterpolationBaoshun Liu, Yonghong Zhang, Jun Yao, Jian SuSoil heavy metal pollution is an important content for soil environmental governance. Based on the three-Dimensional (3D) geological modeling technology and ordinary Kriging method, this study described and analyzed the soil pollution status and spatial distribution characteristics of a site in Zhongshan, Guangxi. The results showed that combining 3D geological model and the Kriging interpolation method can well evaluate soil … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 18, Issue 2 · 10 Jun 2022 · 6,144 accessesView PDFCite

This study seeks to address the question as to how to formulate ideal livestock policies to help boost beef production and distribution in Indonesia. The … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 26 Feb 2021 · 7,479 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Family: Σh DistributionsYasser Mohamed Amer, Rania Mustafa ShalabiIn this study, a new method is proposed for generating families of the sum of the hazard functions for two distributions named the Σh distributions. This new family will help in the application of a wider range of life time data. Many new distributions, which are members of the family, are presented with emphasis on the Σh Exponential-Lomax distribution. Details … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 17, Issue 1 · 7 Jan 2021 · 7,281 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePredicting the Remaining Lifetime of Distribution Transformers using Machine LearningNtiminity Abontakoyah Enoch, Puguo Gbene George, Justice AningDistribution Transformer is a crucial element in deciding the power flow in large power systems. Their better performance implies high power system efficiency and enhanced power transfer capability. However, various Distribution Transformer failures in the recent past lead to power supply disturbance and have acquired much attention from the electrical intellectuals. It is of considerable significance to accurately get the … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 1 Jan 2021 · 6,644 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImproved Meta-Heuristic for Multi-Objective Integrated Procurement, Production and Distribution Problem of Supply Chain Network Under Fuzziness UncertaintiesKaoutar Douaioui, Mouhsene Fri, Charif Mabrouki, El Alami SemmaIn this study, we devoted a design under uncertainty of a supply chain network composed of multiple suppliers, multiple plants, multiple distributors and multiple customers. The proposed model is a bi- objective mixed integer linear programming which consider several constraints and optimize the total costs including the procurement, production, storage and distribution costs as well as maximize on-time deliveries.
