Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAuthentication Based and Optimized Routing Technique in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksS. Varadhaganapathy, A. M. Natarajan, S. N. SivanandamProblem statement: An Ad hoc network has been defined as a self-organizing, dynamic topology network formed by a group of wireless mobile nodes. Minimal configuration, absence of infrastructure and quick deployment, would make ad hoc networks convenient for emergency situations other than military applications. In recent years, security in Ad hoc Networks as a research topic had started to receive … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,903 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure and Efficient Transmission in Mobile Ad hoc Network to Identify the Fake ID's Using Fake ID Detection ProtocolS. Gopalakrishnan, P. GaneshkumarMobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a frequent infrastructure less self- coordinating network, in which each and every mobile node works as a source, destination and a wireless relay. Such pattern of wireless network is produced by dynamic mobile nodes without any centralized or fixed or existing network infrastructure. In MANET, however, there is no static network infrastructure and mobile … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 29 Jan 2015 · 6,357 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA BROADCAST BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR INTER-CLUSTER DATA DISSEMINATION IN VEHICULAR COMMUNICATIONAuxeeliya Jesudoss, S. V. Kasmir Raja, Ashraph SulaimanVehicular communication is one of the fast growing and promising technologies for a safe and comfortable driving environment. These technologies do not end up with economic and safety ramifications, but also extended with other informational and entertainment oriented services. Data are being propagated multi-hop between source and destination vehicles for many real-life applications. Clustering is one of the effective and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 30 Dec 2013 · 7,522 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractModified Power Save Model for Better Energy Efficiency and Reduced Packet LatencyNarendran Rajagopalan, C. MalaDevices constituting wireless ad-hoc networks generally operate in battery power, energy efficiency is a critical research issue. IEEE 802.11 Power Save Mode is a standard recommended for energy efficient operation of wireless ad-hoc networks. When there is no data to transfer, energy is still utilized by IEEE 802.11 PSM during the ATIM window. With this work, an attempt is made … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 29 Aug 2012 · 8,312 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Optimized Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol for Wireless NetworksV. Ponniyin Selvan, S. Senthil KumarProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is communication network made up of mesh routers and mesh clients, with mesh routers forming the backbone of the network. The WMN can be accessed by other networks through gateways and bridging functions in the mesh routers. The mesh clients can either be static or mobile with an option of forming a client mesh … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 21 Jun 2012 · 7,166 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy Aware Optimal Routing for Wireless Sensor NetworksS. Chandramathi, U. Anand, T. Ganesh et al.Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a collection of autonomous devices with computational, sensing, and wireless communication capabilities. The sensor nodes are low cost, multi-functional devices that are densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it and are often powered by independent power sources. The lifetime of such sensor nodes show a strong dependence on lifetime of the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,645 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProximity Aware Routing in Ad Hoc NetworksValerie Alandzi, Alejandro QuinteroMost of the existing routing protocols for ad hoc networks are designed to scale in networks of a few hundred nodes. They rely on state concerning all links of the network or links on the route between a source and a destination. This may result in poor scaling properties in larger mobile networks or when node mobility is high. Using … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,733 accessesView PDFCite
