Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDesign of a Current Sensor for IDDQ Testing of CMOS ICMohd Liakot Ali, Nurul Huda KhamisThis study presents the design of an off-chip current sensor for IDDQ testing of CMOS (Complementary Metal-oxide Semiconductor) ICs (integrated circuit). It provides a linear voltage signal of IDDQ current with a conversion factor of 5 mV/μA without any amplification. A voltage-controlled switch is used to bypass the transient current peaks. It has also been shown that the sensor is … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,834 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSimplified Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Permanent Magnet Brushless Direct Current Motors for Sensorless OperationE. Kaliappan, C. ChellamuthuProblem statement: In this study, a simplified modeling and experimental analysis of Permanent Magnet Brushless DC (PMBLDC) motors for Sensorless operation using MATLAB/SIMULINK. This model provides a mechanism for monitoring and controlling the voltage, current, speed and torque response. Approach: BLDC motor is modeled as sub-blocks. The inverter and switching function are implemented as S-function builder block. The Sensorless scheme … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 16 May 2012 · 7,643 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTesting by Non-Destructive ControlRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Bilal Akash et al.This paper describes an application of industrial robots that gain ground mainly in the aerospace industry. It is a TTT manipulator whose task is to automatically position the end-effector, in this case a complex sensor system and a eddy-current probe in the position set by the software application for testing by non-destructive ultrasound control of tickets and bars of titanium, … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 5 Jun 2017 · 8,698 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTransient Response of a Novel Displacement Transducer for Magnetic Levitation SystemMrunal Deshpande, Badrilal MathurProblem statement: In magnetic levitation system, position sensors are used to obtain a voltage proportional to the position of the suspended object. This is an essential feedback signal for stabilizing the system. These sensors make the system clumsy and prone to failures. To eliminate any physical attachment on the levitated object for the purpose of measuring its displacement, a novel … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 5 Oct 2011 · 7,235 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntrusion-Resistant Multi-Hop Communication Protocol for Secure Wireless Sensor NetworksRakesh Ranjan, Vaishali Singh, Hitendra SinghModern Internet of Things (IoT) systems are based on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), which can be distributed to various environments to perform a range of sensing and data aggregation. Their intrinsic deficiencies in computation, energy, and bandwidth, however, make them very vulnerable to routing-layer attacks like black hole and selective forwarding as well as Sybil intrusion. The current studies on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 1 Jul 2026 · 935 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimizing Cluster Head Selection Algorithms to Improve Power Efficiency in Agricultural Wireless Sensor NetworksSaed TarapiahThe current research addresses the management of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) with a focus on optimizing power consumption, a critical concern in current research. The study uses agricultural WSNs to monitor farming areas, aiming to enhance decision-making in farm management. The importance of such monitoring systems in the region is emphasized. Previous research highlights clustering as an effective technique for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 3 Mar 2025 · 4,940 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDelay-Conscious Service Quality Constraint in IoT Sensor Networks for Smart FarmingZatin Gupta, Amit Kumar BindalThe Internet of Things (IoT) offers different services for the agriculture industry, such as monitoring and analysing real-time data related to current weather conditions, water level, irrigation requirements, growth of plant disease and health status/temperature/humidity, etc.,). The performance of IoT networks may vary due to environmental conditions and operational areas (rural area/urban area/underwater). These constraints may degrade the transmission quality … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 8 · 9 Aug 2023 · 5,385 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comprehensive Review on Internet of Things (IoT) and its Implications in the Mining IndustryFatemeh Molaei, Elham Rahimi, Hossein Siavoshi et al.The integration of computer-based technologies interacting with industrial machines or home appliances through an interconnected network, for teleoperation, workflow control, switching to autonomous mode, or collecting data automatically using a variety of sensors, is known as Internet of Things (IoT). When applied inside an industrial context, it is possible to immediately benefit from the analytics obtained, contributing to process optimization, … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 3 · 3 Sep 2020 · 14,156 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAI-Based Techniques for DDoS Attack Detection in WSN: A Systematic Literature ReviewMohammed Al-Naeem, Mohammed Ashikur Rahman, Adamu AbuBakar Ibrahim, M.M. Hafizur RahmanWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are currently being used in various industries such as healthcare, engineering, the environment and so on. Security is a significant issue for WSN due to its infrastructure and limited physical security.
