Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDiverse Trajectory on Consumer’s Product Feedback Analysis by Confidence IntervalVithya Ganesan, Kirubakaran Namaskaram, Viriyala Sri Anima Padmini et al.The current investigation addresses the possibilities and limitations of the sentiment analysis of consumer remarks in the context of economic needs. It makes it easier for businesses to comprehend how the public's opinion shapes their abilities to satisfy clientele. Sentiment analysis concerns the assessment and interpretation of various forms of evaluation, such as product ratings, reviewer responses, and question-and-answer sessions. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 5 · 28 Apr 2025 · 5,140 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFuture Aspirations and Confidence: The Moderating Effect of High School Teacher Support for Latinx StudentsDr. Rebeca Mireles-Rios, Odelia Simon, Shadi Roshandel, Patricia MartinThere is limited discussion in the field of education on the topic of Latinx students’ higher educational goals and expectations. Even less attention has been paid to understanding students’ beliefs in their ability to fulfill their educational goals. This research aims to understand why Latinx students, including those with high educational aspirations, have a lower likelihood of graduating high school … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 17 Aug 2019 · 7,616 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCOMPARISON OF FIVE EXACT CONFIDENCE INTERVALS FOR THE BINOMIAL PROPORTIONIori Sakakibara, Emiko Haramo, Akimasa Muto et al.The Wald interval is easy to calculate; it is often used as the confidence interval for binomial proportions. However, when using this confidence interval, the actual coverage probability often falls under the nominal coverage probability in small cases. On the other hand, several confidence intervals where the actual cover age probability does not fall under the nominal coverage probability are … …Current Research in Biostatistics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 18 Jul 2014 · 8,109 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIMPACT OF PHYSICAL TRAINING ON SELF-CONFIDENCENorsyahrina Abd Manaf, Bahaman Abu Samah, Nobaya Ahmad et al.As well as having a positive impact on our health, physical activity is useful for increasing self-confidence. In Malaysia, many physical programs have been organized, including the physical activities module included in Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN; the national services program). Unlike other modules, the physical activities module in PLKN is quite different due to the longer period it takes … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 20 Aug 2013 · 8,186 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleConfidence Intervals for Signal to Noise Ratio of a Poisson DistributionFlorence George, B.M. Golam KibriaThe Poisson distribution is one of the most useful probability distributions to fit rare event data. Confidence interval for the SNR is an important issue among the researchers in image processing. This study considers several confidence intervals for the SNR of a Poisson distribution. Different confidence intervals available in literature are reviewed and compared based on the coverage probability and … …Current Research in Biostatistics, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 19 Sep 2012 · 13,909 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleNonparametric Analysis on System Availability: Confidence Bound and Power FunctionJau-Chuan Ke, Yunn-Kuang ChuIn this study we consider the steady-state availability, denoted A, of a system with distribution-free failure and repair time. In particular, we are interested in constructing a lower confidence bound and a testing framework for A. We first show that the natural estimator  of A, defined as the ratio of the failure time sample mean to the sum of … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,692 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAsymptotic Confidence Limits for a Repairable System with Standbys Subject to Switching FailuresJau-Chuan Ke, Ssu-Lang LeeThis paper studies system performance measures and asymptotic confidence limits for the mean time to failure, steady-state availability, steady-state failure frequency of a repairable system which two primary units, two standby units, and one repair facility when switching to standbys may fail. …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,922 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSVD-Structural Similarity in the Wavelet-Gabor Domain: Improved Confidence for Face Recognition under Noise, Blur and HazeOhood Fadil Ismael, Zahir M. HussainIn this work we propose and investigate the performance of a new similarity measure based on Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) and structural similarity in the wavelet and Gabor domains. The reasoning behind this combination is to utilize SVD in getting independent components, wavelet decomposition to get the complex frequency features and Gabor filtering to get textural features. A comparison has … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 29 Aug 2019 · 7,497 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleConfidence Interval for Cpm Based on Dp,q DistanceBahram Sadeghpour Gildeh, Samaneh AsghariProblem statement: A measurement control system ensures that measuring equipment and measurement processes are fit for their intended use and its importance in achieving product quality objectives. Approach: The manufacturing industries have been making an extensive effort to implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) in their plants and supply bases. Results: Capability indices derived from SPC have received increasing usage not … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 8 Feb 2012 · 7,477 accessesView PDFCite
