Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparative Study of BERT Based Architectures for Multi Task News Classification and Threat DetectionA. Mustain Billah, Sani M IsaWe present a comparative analysis of single-task and multi-task BERT-based models for Indonesian news classification across two objectives: category prediction (five classes) and threat detection (binary). Using 8,951 annotated news titles, single-task baselines achieved weighted F1 scores of 0.84±0.01 (category) and 0.87±0.00 (threat). Multi-task hybrids integrating CNN, LSTM, and Bi-LSTM layers performed comparably overall and improved minority class threat detection, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2026 · 1,124 accessesView PDFCite

Bendary Salem, Aldo Barbaro, Bolaji OladipoGunshot Residue (GSR) analysis presents a significant challenge in forensic science due to the need to detect and identify minute traces of powders and initiating compositions formed during the chemical decomposition and deflagration processes within cartridge cases. This research is a qualitative comparative profiling study, designed to create a reference database of the most characteristic elemental markers for commonly used … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 6 Mar 2026 · 2,726 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparative Analysis of Proteins in Two Typical Chinese Thin-Shell WalnutsXu Meng, Tian YilingThis study compared functional properties and molecular characteristics of proteins from two thin-shelled walnut (Juglans regia L.) cultivars predominantly grown in China: Wen 185 and Lvling. Wen 185 walnut protein demonstrated significantly superior performance compared to Lvling across multiple functional parameters, including solubility, emulsifying capacity, foaming capacity, water absorption, and oil absorption. Molecular weight distribution analysis revealed that both proteins … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 15 Feb 2026 · 1,481 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Comparative Study of Informed and Uninformed Search Algorithm to Solve Eight-Puzzle ProblemWahyu Hidayat, Fitri Susanti, Dedy Rahman WijayaProblems in artificial intelligence can be solved using intelligent tracking methods through intelligent search mechanisms. Understandably, search algorithm performances are highly dependent on the problem solved. In this study, we evaluate and compare the performance of five uninformed and informed search (breadth-first search, depth first search, optimal search and best first search using two heuristic functions, namely mismatched tile and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 11 · 3 Dec 2021 · 8,825 accessesView PDFCite
