Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSimplified Block Matching Algorithm for Fast Motion Estimation in Video CompressionM. Ezhilarasan, P. ThambiduraiBlock matching motion estimation was one of the most important modules in the design of any video encoder. It consumed more than 85% of video encoding time due to searching of a candidate block in the search window of the reference frame. To minimize the search time on block matching, a simplified and efficient Block Matching Algorithm for Fast Motion … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2008 · 7,041 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractExtracting Unique Personal Identification Number from IrisNenad Nestorovic, P.W.C. Prasad, Abeer Alsadoon, Amr ElchouemiThe aim of this research is to propose an enhanced model that significantly reduces the noise in the iris templates and thus present an efficient and reliable iris recognition system. Accuracy of Iris recognition system significantly depends on reducing noise at every stage of recognition process especially at eye image acquisition and iris segmentation stages. The proposed Iris recognition model … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 7 Jul 2017 · 8,132 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStill Image Compression Using Texture and Non Texture Prediction ModelG. Mohanbaabu, P. RenugaProblem statement: Existing lossless image compression schemes attempt to do prediction in an image data using their Local Binary Pattern (LBP) and their spatial neighborhood based techniques. In the previous techniques such as Vector Quantization (VQ) and Gradient Adjusted Prediction (GAP) the texture and non-texture regions are not classified separately. Texture and Non-texture images prophecy has been a key factor … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 11 Feb 2012 · 7,303 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMotion Detection and Projection Based Block Motion Estimation Using the Radon Transform for Video CodingShilpa P. Metkar, Sanjay N. TalbarProblem statement: Motion estimation and compensation is the most computationally complex module of video coder. In this study, an innovative algorithm was proposed for a further complexity reduction of the Motion Estimation (ME) module of video coder by employing motion detection prior to motion compensation. Approach: A Motion Detection (MD) module can be added to the video coder in order … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 7,326 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMessage Based Random Variable Length Key Encryption AlgorithmHamid Mirvaziri, Kasmiran Jumari Mahamod Ismail, Zurina Mohd HanapiProblem statement: A block ciphers provides confidentiality in cryptography but cryptanalysis of the classical block ciphers demonstrated some old weaknesses grabbing a partial key in any stage of encryption procedure leads to reconstructing the whole key. Exhaustive key search shows that key generation should be indeterminist and random for each round. Matching cipher-text attack shows that larger size of block … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 6,804 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordOmni-Zernike Algorithm for Template Matching in Catadioptric SystemAnisse Khald, Amina Radgui, Mohammed RzizaImage descriptor have been widely applied in many computer visions and image understanding applications including pattern recognition, robotic, video surveillance, camera calibration and image retrieval, etc. Invariants features are robust when apply several transformations of photometry (illumination, blur, noise, JPEG compression) and transformations of geometry (scaling, rotation, translation and viewpoint change). In this study, we present representation and matching region … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 12 · 30 Dec 2020 · 6,501 accessesView PDF Cite
