Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Reliability of Routing Protocols as an Important Factor for Road Safety Applications in VANET-based Autonomous CarsAnanto Tri Sasongko, Grafika Jati, Bob Hardian, Wisnu JatmikoThe autonomous cars are considered as a tremendous disruptive innovation in the coming years. They enable a driving automation system to replace human drivers to control the vehicle with better recognition, decision and driving skills and ultimately enhance the road users’ experience and traffic safety. They can communicate with other cars as they are ready with the Vehicle to Vehicle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 6 · 15 Jun 2020 · 7,420 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDetection of a Moving Car Based on Invariant MomentsAbdul Monem Rahma, Nabaa Basil AbdThis paper presents a proposed technique based on Invariant Moments to detect moving cars in front of Autonomous Cars in order to increase safety and reduce road accidents, thus saving lives, which are one of the most important matters in the context of Autonomous Cars. Object detection from a sequence of images is preparatory step but a crucial mission for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 3 · 20 Nov 2017 · 7,636 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSelf-Supervised Contrastive Learning for Steering Angle Prediction in Autonomous Driving SimulationsMaxson Phang, Suryadiputra LiawatimenaPredicting steering angles is a crucial task in autonomous driving, with end-to-end deep learning being a widely used approach. However, such models often suffer from overfitting to learned trajectories, limiting their generalization to new data. To address this, self-supervised contrastive learning is explored as an alternative, allowing models to learn meaningful representations without labeled data. The primary objective is to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 9 · 20 Oct 2025 · 2,581 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReindeer Infestation with Cysticercus Tarandi in the Tundra of Yamalia, RussiaAnna Nikolaevna Siben, Andrey Alexandrovich NikonovImproving the efficiency of reindeer husbandry can only be achieved by preserving the health of animals, which requires the organization of measures to protect animals from infectious and invasive pathogens. C. tarandi is the larval stage of Taenia krabbei and causes damage to muscle fibers and a decrease in the commercial qualities, energy and nutritional value of reindeer meat. The … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 4 · 2 Dec 2022 · 5,961 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Enhanced Algorithm for Small Object Detection based on Thermal Imaging Using YOLOv8-EPBRavina Gupta, Sarika Jain, Manoj KumarObject detection is one of the most important and challenging problems in the computer vision domain. Using the power of deep models, researchers have carefully explored and made significant contributions to increasing the effectiveness of object detection and related tasks, such as object identification, localization, and segmentation. This progress is due to the rapid progress of deep learning in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2025 · 4,212 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproved Steering and Adaptive Cruise Control for Autonomous Vehicles Using Model Predictive ControlSai Charan Dekkata, Sun YiThe research on autonomous vehicles was started nearly a century ago but the major parts of significant advance have been done over the past few decades. In this paper, designing and simulating of a Model Predictive Controller (MPC) and comparing it to a classical feedback controller, which was designed and implemented on a car for Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 26 Jun 2019 · 8,019 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBoeing's Autonomous Military AircraftRelly Victoria Virgil PetrescuBoeing will build a self-propelled military aircraft to accompany US combat aircraft during missions. Boeing's autonomous airplane will achieve superior flying performance to those pilots even with the most modern aircraft. If technology advances and becomes more accessible to civilians, why would not this happen in the military domain? US, Russian, Australian and British armies have already been using advanced … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 17 Jun 2019 · 6,984 accessesView PDFCite
