Review ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA New Exoplanet Reveals its IdentityNicolae Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuPositioned approximately 70 light years from Earth a sun named by astronomer HD 97658, is nearly bright enough to be seen even with the naked eye. The more interesting part of the problem lies in the fact that this sun, this star, also has an exoplanet HD 97658b, the size of which is approximately double compared to our planet Earth … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 5 Jun 2018 · 7,495 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe TESS Satellite will Search for Planets in the Vicinity of our Solar SystemRelly Victoria Virgil PetrescuThe US Space Agency has launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, the TESS satellite, which will search for planets near our solar system and study them in detail. "TESS will significantly increase the number of planets studied," said George Ricker of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, before launching. "It will double the number of planets we've seen and detected with … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 23 May 2019 · 6,639 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNASA has Found the Most Distant Black HoleRelly Victoria Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuScientists have uncovered a rare relic from the early universe: the farthest known supermassive black hole. This matter-eating beast is 800 million times the mass of our Sun, which is astonishingly large for its young age. Researchers report the find in the journal Nature. "This black hole grew far larger than we expected in only 690 million years after the … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 18 Jan 2018 · 7,292 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNASA Data Used to Discover Eighth Planet Circling Distant StarRelly Victoria Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuDiscovering the origins of life and colonizing extraterrestrial planets are two of the greatest ambitions that the international scientific community has today. Today, NASA is more prepared than ever to embark on an unprecedented race to conquer other worlds. The Kepler mission, named after Johannes Kepler, the German astronomer of the 16th-17th centuries, was scheduled to begin on March 7, … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 18 Jan 2018 · 7,904 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHistory of Aviation-A Short ReviewRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Bilal Akash et al.The man has always wanted to be able to fly. The dream or although it has achieved, has not been reached yet fully. The fuse of the flight today is much higher than in the past, but is not yet complete. Although they have carried out the steps in the increase of the safety of a ship in flight, there … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 22 May 2017 · 16,578 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDeficient Reasoning for Dark Matter in GalaxiesJames Q. Feng, C.F. GalloIn this universe, not all of the matter around us can be readily seen. The further an object is away from us and the less luminous it is, the less visible it becomes. Just by looking at an object is usually difficult, if not impossible, to tell the amount of mass it contains. But astronomers have been using the measured … …Physics International, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 14 Sep 2015 · 8,285 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCRITERIA FOR THE COMPLEXITY OF SUCCESSIVE ASTRONOMICAL PARADIGMSPanagiotis Papaspirou, Kostas Karamanos, Xenophon MoussasWe investigate the complexity of three successive astronomical paradigms in the science of Physics, namely the Ptolemaic paradigm, the Copernican paradigm and the Keplerian paradigm and mention briefly some characteristic facts about the colossal Newtonian paradigm. This complexity can be understood according to five criteria, as proposed by Thomas Kuhn, the father of the epistemological notion of the paradigm, as … …Physics International, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 28 Mar 2014 · 8,295 accessesView PDFCite
