Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsCurrent Stage in the Field of Mechanisms with Gears and RodsRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella et al.The development and diversification of machines and mechanisms with applications in all fields require new scientific researches for the systematization and improvement of existing mechanical systems by creating new mechanisms adapted to modern requirements, which involve increasingly complex topological structures. The modern industry, the practice of designing and building machinery is increasingly based on the results of scientific and applied … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 13 Dec 2017 · 6,846 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Dynamics of the Otto EngineRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Taher M. Abu-Lebdeh et al.The dynamic calculation of a certain mechanism and of the piston crankshaft mechanism, used as the main mechanism for Otto internal combustion engines, also implies the influence of external forces on the actual, dynamic kinematics of the mechanism. Take into account the strong and inertial engine forces. Sometimes weight forces can also be taken into account, but their influence is … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 20 Feb 2018 · 7,526 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Forces of a Simple Carrier ManipulatorRelly Victoria Virgil Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Taher M. Abu-Lebdeh et al.The present paper shows how to analytically determine the forces acting within a simple manipulator. Forces acting within any device or car have an important role because they are the ones that define the real movement of that device, the dynamic movement, movement that is very different from the cinematic imaginable by geometric-kinematic engineering calculations. To know the real movement … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 20 Feb 2018 · 7,224 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsStatistical Pattern Recognition for Thresholding between Human Skin and Background in Color ImagesRafael Divino Ferreira Feitosa, Vinícius Araújo Santos, Leandro Luís Galdino de Oliveira et al.Many research works based on the tone of human skin have been developed to locate and track the human body for the purpose of recognition in color images. With respect to other techniques, some advantages of face detection based on skin color are the smaller processing time, invariant angles of rotation and the performance in semi-occluded faces. In this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 2 · 10 Apr 2017 · 7,923 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDistributed Vehicle Tracking System Using Image Processing TechniquesIehab Abdul Jabbar Kamil, Mohanad Abdulsalam Al-AskariIn this part of the research, an implementation of a distributed vehicle tracking system that uses image processing techniques for real-time automobile surveillance is done. The system uses OpenCV, Pytesseract and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for the extraction of the license plate information from vehicle images to identify and track vehicles. By doing so, distributed computing enables the system to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 8 · 9 Oct 2025 · 2,263 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOffice Supplies Requisition-Disbursement System Processing on Cloud: Algorithms and Database Design TechniquesKriangsak Chanthinok, Ekkachai NaenudornDigitalbusiness organization is an organization that has applied informationtechnology to its operations and benefits from saving costs, saving resources, and making it quick to act and operate the business. However, manyorganizations lack systems to complement effectively internal management suchas in-house office supplies requisition-disbursement system. Past research papers have shown that a widerange of office supplies requisition-disbursement systems have been developed, but almost … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 10 · 13 Oct 2022 · 6,551 accessesView PDFCite
