Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLayout Optimization in a Fitness Industry: An Application of QAP Formulation and Heuristic Approachesİbrahim Miraç Eligüzel, Eren Özceylan, Yakup AtasagunThe Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP) is the problem of determining a one-to-one and onto assignment between two sets, each consisting of n objects (e.g., n facilities and n locations) so as to minimize the sum of the distance × flow associated with pairs of assignments. In this study, QAP formulation is applied to a fitness center to assign the sports … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 4 · 3 May 2021 · 6,681 accessesView PDFCite

SeowProblem statement: The Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) is a well-known combinatorial optimization problem which is concerned with the distribution of goods between the depot and customers. It is of economic importance to businesses as approximately 10-20% of the final cost of the goods is contributed by the transportation process. Approach: This problem was tackled using an Ant Colony Optimization … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 15 Mar 2012 · 10,043 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDynamic Weighting Technique Based Arctic Puffin Optimization for Energy Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Bharathraj Kumar, S. Avinash, Prakash G. Gani, Prathapchandra ShettyWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are designed using various sensor nodes, which are employed for communication in diverse applications that include healthcare, industrial areas, and smart cities. Specifically, WSNs demand energy-efficient clustering and routing mechanisms that assist in extending network lifetime due to the limited battery capacity of sensor nodes. However, many existing meta-heuristic-based approaches incorporate fixed objective weights that struggle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 10 Sep 2026 · 767 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementing a Hybrid VMD–BiTCN–BiGRU Architecture With Intelligent Optimization for Agricultural Commodity Price Prognostication in Gujarat MarketsJignesh Hirapara, Ratnesh Kumar Namdeo, Ankit Kumar Dubey et al.In the agricultural sector, the prices of pulses require adequate forecasting to plan farming activities, store and market, and guide policy-making. However, the pulse price series is highly volatile, seasonal, nonstationary, and nonlinear, and thus conventional linear time series models are not necessarily very effective. In the suggested framework, the raw price data series is decomposed using Variational Mode Decomposition … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 1 Aug 2026 · 1,021 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMasterpiece Optimization Algorithm-Based Priority-Aware Load Balancing Strategy for Cloud Data CentersS Vijaykumar, Shanker ChandreCloud Computing (CC) is one of the widely used technologies due to its advanced features such as pay-per-use, scalability, and flexibility. The primary objective of CC is to allow users to access and purchase cloud services that are on demand through internet-based applications. Efficient load-balancing in the cloud faces challenges of high-dimensional state spaces and scalability with increasing tasks. Residential energy storage systems are a priority to promote local flexibility and participation in the energy transition. The combination of solar energy generators and storage batteries is a key method of … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 16 Jul 2026 · 1,196 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnhancing DevOps Pipelines With Viral Spread Optimization and Hybrid Deep LearningDileepkumar S R, Juby MathewModern software teams rely on Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and delivery. However, these pipelines often waste resources by running unnecessary tests and failing to predict which builds will fail. This study presents a new framework that addresses three key challenges: (1) deciding which tests to run first, (2) predicting which builds will fail, and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 6 · 3 Jul 2026 · 935 accessesView PDFCite
