Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSFAD2H: Selective Forwarding or Dropping Attack Detection with 2-Hop Acknowledgment Support in Wireless Sensor NetworksPrathap Uppara, Kiran Krishnappa, Deepa Shenoy Punjalkatte, Venugopal Kuppanna RajukSecurity in wireless sensor networks is critical due to its way of open communication. In this study we have proposed a technique based on a sensor node having alternate path knowledge and 2-hop acknowledgement mechanism to detect adversary nodes which perform selective forwarding and dropping attacks. In selective forwarding attack nodes on the forwarding path refuses to transfer packets selectively. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 23 Nov 2017 · 7,457 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRRDVCR: Real-Time Reliable Data Delivery Based on Virtual Coordinating Routing for Wireless Sensor NetworksVenkatesh, Chanchal Singh Sengar, Kuppanna Rajuk Venugopal et al.Real-time industrial application requires a routing protocol that guarantees data delivery with reliable, efficient and low end-to-end delay. Existing Two-Hop Velocity based Routing (THVR) protocol relates two-hop velocity to end-to-end delay to select the next forwarding node, that has the overhead of exchanging control packets and depleting the available energy in nodes. We propose a Real-Time Reliable Data delivery based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 3 Jan 2018 · 8,232 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAcknowledgment based Reputation Mechanism to Mitigate the Node Misbehavior in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Gopalakrishnan, V. Rhymend UthariarajProblem statement: The cooperation between the nodes is essential to discover and maintain routes in mobile ad hoc network. Due to the presence of misbehaving nodes, the node cooperation is not always guaranteed as the nodes agreed during the route discovery phase. This phenomenon results in frequent network partitioning and it makes the routing process difficult. It also degrades the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2011 · 6,567 accessesView PDF Cite
