Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAnalytic and Nonlinear Prognostic for Vehicle Suspension SystemsAbdo Abou Jaoude, Khaled El-TawilPredicting Remaining Useful Lifetime (RUL) of industrial systems becomes currently an important aim for industrialists knowing that the expensive failure can occur suddenly. As the classical strategies of maintenance are not efficient and practical because they neglect the evolving product state and environment, the recent prognostic approaches try to fill this gap. This approach shows to be important in ensuring … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 23 Feb 2013 · 7,522 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSleeping Cluster based Medium Access Control Layer Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworksT. Nagamalar, T. R. RangaswamyWireless sensor networks play a vital role in remote area applications, where human intervention is not possible. In a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) each and every node is strictly an energy as well as bandwidth constrained one. Problem Statement: In a standard WSN, most of the routing techniques, move data from multiple sources to a single fixed base station. Because … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 16 Jul 2012 · 6,686 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRealization of Fault Tolerant Routing Protocol for ZigbeeSharmila Sankar, SankaranarayananProblem statement: Increased use of handheld devices and sensor devices pose problems in existing routing protocols. The performance of the existing routing protocols deteriorates very much on these dense scenarios. Control overheads are very important parameter in deciding the performance of routing protocols, which are introduced during route discovery and maintenance process. Denser the network, higher is the control overhead … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 2 Mar 2012 · 6,827 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Distributed Coverage and Target Tracking Algorithm for Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Senthamilselvi, N. DevarajanProblem statement: Due to communication, processing and energy constraints, tracking in sensor networks creates different challenges. Since existing algorithms utilized the information from all the sensors for tracking, it results in higher expenditure of energy and reduced lifetime for the network. Approach: We propose to develop a distributed coverage and target tracking algorithm for wireless sensor networks. Tracking issue is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 6 Jan 2012 · 6,698 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWideband E-Shaped Microstrip Antenna for Wireless Sensor NetworksG. Elangovan, J. Rajapaul PerinbamProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is currently receiving significant attention due to their unlimited potential. It is still very early in the lifetime of such systems and many research challenges exist, out of which one of the challenges is sensor processing and fusion under limited capacities, the most important component in sensor is its TX/RX antenna. Approach: For high-speed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 21 Nov 2011 · 7,106 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComment on "Method of Fingerprint Identification"Ford Lumban GaolProblem statement: Paper that written by Surachai Panich reported matching two fingerprints taken from small database of fingerprints. Approach: In this study we used extensive literature review and research publication. We also compare with some best practices that applied in the business and industrial field for matching the fingerprints. Results: Surachai Panich used his method only for around one hundred … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2011 · 6,491 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTopology Control Using Efficient Power ManagementS. Karunakaran, P. ThangarajProblem statement: Effective Topology control will improve the performance and the capacity of Mobile Ad-hoc networks by building reliable network structure. Approach: Power level is used as the basis for topology control since it reduces spatial interference while increasing the effective channel capacity and network lifetime. Results: In this study, we design a topology control using efficient power management algorithm … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 6,715 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSuitable Assimilation Model of Culture, Beliefs and Rites Concerning Deities of Buddhism and Hindu-Brahmanism for Peace of Thai Society in Bangkok and CircumferencesPhra Maha Kriangkrai Kaewchaiya, Suoneth Photisan, Makhawin PurisuttamoProblem statement: At present, Thai society widely assimilates culture, beliefs and rites concerning deities of Buddhism and Hindu-Brahmanism by worshipping the deity images at the temples or the abodes of gods in Bangkok and circumferences. A typical worship is to pray the deity for help. As a matter of fact, people should help themselves first and use a prayer as … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 8 Feb 2011 · 7,834 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPhi Ti Su Khwan: Conservation and Transmission of the Spiritual Encouragement-Ritual of People in Isan SocietyWitthaya Phukhronghin, Songkoon Chantachon, Sastra LaoakkaProblem statement: Phi Ti Su Khwan is a ritual of Isan people (northeast people of Thailand) which is performed for encouraging power of life of people at an appropriate period in their lifetime. Khwan (spirit) is a non-physical part of body; it acts as consciousness which affects physical health.
