Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordShort-Term and Medium-Term Load Forecasting for Jordan's Power SystemI. Badran, H. El-Zayyat, G. HalasaSeveral electric power companies are now forecasting electric loads based on conventional methods. However, since the relationship between loads and factors influencing these loads is nonlinear, it is difficult to identify its nonlinearity by using conventional methods. Most of papers deal with 24-h-ahead load forecasting or next day peak load forecasting. These methods forecast the demand power by using forecasted … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2008 · 7,081 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSurvival in the Current Healthcare Environment How Close Are We to Socialized Medicine?Eldo E. FrezzaIn the 1980's, some hospitals established internal agencies to regulate cash flow and capital expense. Jabbar, Xiaoling ChenThis research integrated the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) with RS, GIS and GPS techniques to quantify soil erosion risk and the northern part of Shaanxi province in China was taken as a case. A system was established for rating soil erodibility, slope length/gradient, rainfall erosivity and conservation practices. The rating values served as inputs into a modified Revised … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2005 · 7,050 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSegmented Block Cipher Algorithm Based on ASCII-Codes ManeuverShadi Rasheed Masadeh, Hamza Abbass Al-SewadiDue to their complexity, computation time and power requirement, the secure and widely used cryptographic systems such as 3DES and AES may not be considered suitable for applications like mobile and remote sensing of sensitive data. Therefore, secure but less complicated algorithms for data encryption are still sought. This paper suggests a new Segmented Block Cipher Algorithm (SBCA) is a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 15 Dec 2017 · 6,899 accessesView PDFCite
