The government hopes that the new system not only can recruit promising voluntary … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 11 Sep 2012 · 7,484 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Analysis on 16-Channels Wavelength Division Multiplexing in Free Space Optical Transmission under Tropical Regions EnvironmentSalasiah Hitam, Siti Norziela Suhaimi, Ahmad Shukri Mohd Noor et al.Problem statement: Wavelength-Division-Multiplexing (WDM) is a promising technique for meeting the growing demand for increased bandwidth and various types of services in the optical access network. For wide area or metropolitan networks, fibers are deployed to provide huge bandwidth. In access networks, the fiber-to-the-home will partially solve the last mile problem. However, some environmentally sensitive area such as housing areas, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 2 Nov 2011 · 10,358 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Design and Development of Word Sense Disambiguation Algorithm for English Language Understanding for Database AccessM. Munusamy, G. Tholkappia Arasu, V. Palanisamy, S. SelvarajanProblem statement: This study attempts to present an object-net method for word sense disambiguation. It is proposed to model the elementary meanings which assist the machine to autonomously undertake the analysis and synthesis processes of meaning. Approach: In the proposed methodology, the disambiguation process was performed in context manner. Starting from natural text, the context of the sentence was identified, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 11 Aug 2011 · 6,780 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordStatic and Dynamic Performance Improvement of Conventional Computer Numerical Control Machine Tool Bed with Hybrid Welded SteelS.S. Abuthakeer, P.V. Mohanram, G. MohankumarProblem statement: The advancements in machine tools to maximize the production by increasing spindle speeds have caused vibration in machine tools. The two functional requirements of machine tool bed for machine tools are high structural stiffness and high damping, which cannot be satisfied simultaneously if conventional metallic materials such as cast iron are employed. Hence there is a need to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 13 Jun 2011 · 11,479 accessesView PDF Cite

Ramesh Babu, Jayashree Jagdale et al.Problem statement: Parallel implementation of a CBIR system for medical applications due to the rapid progress in the technologies for obtaining and storing digital images for diagnostic purposes in medicine. Approach: For feature extraction Wavelet decomposition was used for texture, global color histograms for color and novel wavelet based approach for shape feature extraction. The system had been implemented in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 23 Oct 2010 · 7,631 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThermal-Mechanical Analysis of a Different Leadframe Thickness of Semiconductor Package under the Reflow ProcessS. Abdullah, M. F. Abdullah, A. K. Ariffin, A. JalarThe copper-based leadframe is practically proven effective in the thermal and reliability of a Quad Flat No Lead (QFN) three dimension (3D) stacked-die semiconductor package. Reducing the copper thickness is understood to present various thermal and reliability failure mode and mechanisms, such as die cracking and delamination. However, no in-depth study has been pursued in order to determine the capability … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 7,715 accessesView PDF Cite
