Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA REVIEW ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF INDONESIAN SIGN LANGUAGE RECOGNITION SYSTEMSutarman, Mazlina Abdul Majid, Jasni Mohamad ZainSign language is mainly employed by hearing-impaired people to communicate with each other. However, communication with normal people is a major handicap for them since normal people do not understand their sign language. Sign language recognition is needed for realizing a human oriented interactive system that can perform an interaction like normal communication. Sign language recognition basically uses two approaches: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 27 Sep 2013 · 8,691 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordNetwork Topological Property of English Dialects Similarity: A Robust Filter ApproachMaman Abdurachman Djauhari, Gan Siew LeeWe show that the common approach to use of Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) to filter the information contained in a complex system of English dialects similarity is not robust. Later on we propose a robust filter based on the forest of all possible MSTs. To illustrate the advantages of this filter, Morgan’s data on English dialects similarity is analyzed and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 17 Jun 2013 · 6,588 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAverage Mutual Information Analysis of Multiple Input and Multiple Output System with Multihop Relaying in Wireless Communication SystemC. Poongodi, A. ShanmugamProblem statement: Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) system with Multihop relaying techhnique is significant and active areas of wireless communication. In a rich scattering environment MIMO antenna system provides better channel capacity and data rates than single antenna systems. To provide high throughput, reliable transmission and broad coverage, wireless relaying techniques are essential in a variety of applications. Ryum-DuckProblem statement: Due to recent advances in the IT industry, the importance of ontology has increased as a tool of knowledge representation at home or abroad for implementation of intelligent and personalized service system such as next generation semantic web environment and ubiquitous computing environment. But, although the importance of wetlands are being recognized, systematic management is still not enough … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 13 Jan 2012 · 6,970 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMammogram Analysis Based on Pixel Intensity Mean FeaturesR. Nithya, B. SanthiProblem statement: In the recent years, Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) can be very useful for detection of breast cancer. Mammography can be used as an efficient tool for breast cancer diagnosis. A computer based diagnosis and classification system can reduce unnecessary biopsy. Approach: This study investigates a new approach to the classification of mammogram images based on pixel intensity mean … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 7 Jan 2012 · 7,666 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance of Thin-Film as Wavelength Filter in Wdm-Pof NetworkMohd Syuhaimi Ab. Rahman, L. S. Supian, Hadi Guna et al.Problem statement: Huge capacity for data transmission and bandwidth are becoming a need nowadays. High cost of implementation using optical fibers prevents utilization of the technology as wide as possible. Approach: Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) was a technique that offers the solution for providing better bandwidth. WDM technique allows several signals that have different wavelengths to be transmitted in a … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 9 Dec 2011 · 7,270 accessesView PDFCite
