Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntelligent Control for Self-erecting Inverted Pendulum Via Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference SystemA. A. Saifizul, Z. Zainon, N. A.Abu Osman et al.A self-erecting single inverted pendulum (SESIP) is one of typical nonlinear systems. The control scheme running the SESIP consists of two main control loops. Namely, these control loops are swing-up controller and stabilization controller. A swing-up controller of an inverted pendulum system must actuate the pendulum from the stable position. While a stabilization controller must stand the pendulum in the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 7,322 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal Time Hybrid Controller Implementation for Switched Reluctance Motor DriveS. Paramasivam, R. ArumugamThis study presents the real time hybrid controller implementation for a Switched Reluctance motor Drive. The developed hybrid control law consists of Proportional Integral (PI) controller at steady state, PI-type fuzzy logic controller (FLC) at transient state and a simple logic controller between steady and transient states to achieve desired performance at various operating conditions under soft chopping operation. The … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2004 · 7,240 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAdvances in Electromyogram Signal Classification to Improve the Quality of Life for the Disabled and Aged PeopleMd. R. Ahsan, Muhammad I. Ibrahimy, Othman O. KhalifaProblem statement: The social demands for the Quality Of Life (QOL) are increasing with the exponentially expanding silver generation. To improve the QOL of the disabled and elderly people, robotic researchers and biomedical engineers have been trying to combine their techniques into the rehabilitation systems. Various biomedical signals (biosignals) acquired from a specialized tissue, organ, or cell system like the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 8,813 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordControl Techniques in Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) SystemsH. Mirinejad, S. H. Sadati, M. Ghasemian, H. TorabProblem statement: Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems are among the main installations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The purpose of the HVAC systems is normally to provide a comfortable environment in terms of temperature, humidity and other environmental parameters for the occupants as well as to save energy. Achieving these objectives requires a suitable control system design. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2008 · 19,948 accessesView PDF Cite
