Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsCASE STUDY OF THE OPTIMIZING THE AUTOMOTIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS EFFICIENCY VIA APPLYING NEW METHOD OF SCHEDULINGSeyedehfarzaneh Nojabaei, Matthew FranchettiEfficiency is becoming a pivotal aspect in each manufacturing system and scheduling plays a crucial role in sustaining it. The applicability of distributed computing to coordinate and execute jobs has been investigated in the past literature. Moreover, it is significant that even for sensitive industrial systems the only criterion of allocating jobs to appropriate machines is the FIFO policy. On … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 8 Jul 2014 · 7,426 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsOperational Fault Diagnosis in Industrial Hydraulic Systems Through Modeling The Internal Leakage of its ComponentsP. Athanasatos, D. Koulocheris, T. Costopoulos, K. RaptisIn this study, a model of a high pressure hydraulic system was developed using the bond graph method to investigate the effect of the internal leakage of its main components (pump, cylinder and 4/2 way valve) on the operational characteristics of the system under various loads. All the main aspects of the hydraulic circuit (like the internal leakages, the compressibility … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2013 · 7,253 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Web-based Interactive Real Laboratory for Process Engineering EducationMaher Chaabene, Kamel Mkaouar, Mohamed OualiAn online supervision and control of a laboratory designed for process engineering education was conceived. The principal aim was to minimise the time access of an operator when manipulating laboratory features. Hence, the Time delay due to Internet traffic was overcome by using a Web Embedded Server (WES). A human-computer interactive interface using JAVA Script was developed so as to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,729 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDevelopment of Priority Oriented Scheduling Method to Increase the Reliability of Manufacturing SystemsSeyedehfarzaneh Nojabaei, Z. Leman, S. H. Tang, S. SulaimanScheduling occurs in every organization without considering the nature of its activities. In this regard, numerous scholars have attempted to schedule via divergent methods including classical scheduling, genetic algorithm, neural network and fuzzy logic and so on. Studies in manufacturing scheduling mostly deal with priority rules without any consideration of the system states. An appropriate scheduling leads to significant enhancement … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 31 Jul 2012 · 7,021 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsApplication Lyapunov Theory to Determine Control Strategy of Static Var Compensator for Damping Power System OscillationPrechanon KumkratugProblem statement: The disturbance in power system is unavoidable situation. It causes in power system oscillation. Approach: This study applied the Static Var Compensator (SVC) to damp power system oscillation. The stability criterion of the Lyapunov is applied to derive the control strategy of SVC. The simulation results are tested on a Single Machine Infinite bus. The proposed method is … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2011 · 7,437 accessesView PDFCite
