JanetProblem statement: Network becomes very important technology in the day to day life style of modern computer era, in which the wireless communication become very popular for the last few years. In the same manner, the other wireless network, i.e., ado network is very popular among the researchers in the past few decades. Approach: The Ad hoc networks are defined … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 19 Jan 2012 · 7,098 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Analysis and Overview of Wireless Routing ProtocolsN. Dhanalakshmi, P. AlliProblem statement: In the past, the main focus of the research in the wireless network is to provide optimal routes between source and destination nodes. The wireless routing is required additional computational effort than wired routing in order to fulfill the major wireless characteristics such as battery power constraints, frequent mobility and less processing. Approach: In addition to wired routing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 17 Jan 2012 · 7,637 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Enhanced Authenticated Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksM. Rajesh Babu, S. SelvanProblem statement: This study propose an improvement of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing protocol in order to include some of the aspects of ad hoc networks such as load balancing, congestion avoidance and avoidance of link breakage. Approach: The most important problem nowadays is link breakage which mainly occurs due to excessive load and congestion in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 17 Oct 2011 · 6,623 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Challenge for Routing Algorithms in Optical Multistage Interconnection NetworksMehrnaz Moudi, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: A class of dynamic interconnection networks is Multistage Interconnection Networks (MINs) that connects input devices to output devices through a number of switch stages. MINs have assumed importance in recent years; because of their cost-effectiveness. Optical MINs are one type of MINs that have large transmission capacity in the communication networks. There is a major problem in Optical … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 29 Aug 2011 · 7,858 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTraffic Flow Analysis Model based Routing Protocol For Multi-Protocol Label Switching NetworkE. R. Naganathan, S. Rajagopalan, P. Herbert RajProblem statement: Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a mechanism which is used in high-performance telecommunications networks that directs and carries data from one network node to the next with the help of labels. Traffic management is still an issue in MPLS network as it involves high speed internet. Approach: This study proposed a traffic flow analysis of the real time … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 25 Aug 2011 · 6,747 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrating Buffer Management with Epidemic Routing in Delay Tolerant NetworksG. Fathima, R. S.D. WahidabanuProblem statement: The Design of Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) routing protocols has focused to operate in an environment where there is no guarantee of end to end path between source and destination at all points of time. The DTN research has focussed primarily on applications that are delay tolerant. But it can also be used to provide real time information … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 7,086 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImpact of Sybil and Wormhole Attacks in Location Based Geographic Multicast Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworksShyamala Ramachandran, Valli ShanmuganProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks have been used in many applications, such as home automation, military surveillances and entity tracking systems. The sensor nodes have low computational capabilities and are highly resource constrained. Routing protocols of wireless sensor networks are prone to various routing attacks, such as black hole, rushing, wormhole, Sybil and denial of service attacks. Approach: The objective … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,988 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Routing Protocol to Eliminate Integrity, Authentication and Sleep Deprivation Based Threats in Mobile Ad hoc NetworkEdna Elizabeth Nallathambi, Radha Sankararajan, Vaithiyanathan Sundaram, Gracelin SheebaProblem statement: Network security in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a major issue. Some of the attacks such as modification, impersonation, Time To Live (TTL) and sleep deprivation are due to misbehaviour of malicious nodes, which disrupts the transmission. Some of the existing security protocols such as ARAN, SAODV and SEAD are basically used to detect and eliminate one … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,822 accessesView PDFCite
