Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF HIGH EFFICIENCY LOW DENSITY PARITY-CHECK CODE DECODER FOR LOW POWER APPLICATIONSM. Revathy, R. SaravananIn this study, we propose a low power, high efficient Low Density Parity-Check Code (LDPC) Decoder Architecture for error detection and correction applications. LDPC codes have been adopted in latest wireless standards such as satellite and mobile communications since they possess superior error-detecting and correcting capabilities. As technology scales, memory devices become larger and more powerful and low power consumption … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 30 Jan 2014 · 6,888 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMNM1D: A Numerical Code for Colloid Transport in Porous Media: Implementation and ValidationTiziana Tosco, Rajandrea SethiProblem statement: Understanding the mechanisms that control the transport and fate of colloidal particles in subsurface environments is a crucial issue faced by several researchers in the last years. In many cases, natural colloids have been shown to play a major role in the spreading of strongly sorbing contaminants, while manufactured micro-and nanoparticles, which are nowadays widely spread in the … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 4 · 31 Aug 2009 · 8,298 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFinite Element Study Using FE Code (PLAXIS) on the Geotechnical Behavior of Shell FootingsBujang B.K. Huat, Thamer A. MohammedThis study describes a study on the geotechnical behavior of shell footing using a non-linear finite element analysis with a finite element code, PLAXIS. The shell footing is found to have a better load carrying capacity compared with the conventional slab/flat footing of similar cross sectional area. The FE analysis also showed a reasonably good agreement with the laboratory experimental … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 7,888 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSegmented Block Cipher Algorithm Based on ASCII-Codes ManeuverShadi Rasheed Masadeh, Hamza Abbass Al-SewadiDue to their complexity, computation time and power requirement, the secure and widely used cryptographic systems such as 3DES and AES may not be considered suitable for applications like mobile and remote sensing of sensitive data. Therefore, secure but less complicated algorithms for data encryption are still sought. This paper suggests a new Segmented Block Cipher Algorithm (SBCA) is a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 15 Dec 2017 · 6,903 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Multi-Pulse Based Code Excited Linear Predictive Speech Coder with Bitrate Scalable Tool over Additive White Gaussian Noise and Rayleigh Fading ChannelsSuphattharachai ChomphanProblem statement: In the modern speech communication technology, the speech coding with bitrate scalability was needed. However, various types of noises in the communication channels cause damages in the transmitted information especially speech data. Tonal-language speech was also affected by this situation. Approach: Based on the high pitch delay resolution technique, the MPCELP speech coding was proposed over the environment … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 6 Nov 2010 · 7,090 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDynamic Solution Code for Structural Analysis upon Joint ElementS. A. Sadrnejad, M. LabibzadehThe analysis of large structures mostly requires a complete three dimensional finite element discretization. Stability of such structures includes not only the stability of structure itself but also that of foundation as well as interconnection elements. The general instability of a structure may be affected by two aspects, firstly, an inappropriate preliminary classical design of the structure and inadequate control … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,446 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAN IMPROVED DESIGN OF REVERSIBLE BINARY TO BINARY CODED DECIMAL CONVERTER FOR BINARY CODED DECIMAL MULTIPLICATIONPraveena Murugesan, Thanushkodi KeppanagounderReversible logic gates under ideal conditions produce zero power dissipation. This factor highlights the usage of these gates in optical computing, low power CMOS design, quantum optics and quantum computing. The growth of decimal arithmetic in various applications as stressed the need to propose the study on reversible binary to BCD converter which plays a greater role in decimal multiplication … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 28 Nov 2013 · 7,516 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn M-Learning System Based on Mobile Phones and Quick Response CodesHend S. Al-KhalifaProblem statement: Many instructors in academia wish to know how much their students understand the content of the lecture; however, doing this manually will be very difficult and time consuming. Similarly, most students have communication problems with their instructors and they wish if they can ask their questions without any fear. So a need for a technology to bridge these … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 6,936 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRe-quantization Codebook Using FingerprintZ. F. Muhsen, M. A. Dababna, A. A. NsourRe-quantization is a key technology for reducing the bit rate of compressed data. The reduction of the bit rate and in certain cases may result in signal quality degradation. Techniques need to be deployed to enhance the signal quality based on optimization techniques. The proposed scheme constructed an optimal re-quantization codebook in an iterative manner for a given original quantization … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,908 accessesView PDFCite
