Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Evaluation of Stable Weight-Based on Demand Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkOon Chong Hsi, Azizol AbdullahProblem statement: A MANET is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since the nodes are mobile, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. Approach: A Stable Weight-based On demand Routing Protocol (SWORP) that uses the weight-based route strategy to select a stable route was created by Wang. But SWORP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,928 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Approach for Detecting Attacks in Mobile Adhoc NetworksV. Madhu Viswanatham, A. A. ChariThe security of data becomes more important with the increased use of commercial applications over wireless network environments. We presented an approach to handle various attacks for wireless networks. There were several problems of security in wireless networks due to intruders and different type of attacks such as Node Isolation, Route Disruption and Resource Consumption. There were better methods and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,924 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffect of Clustering in Designing a Fuzzy Based Hybrid Intrusion Detection System for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksD. Vydeki, R. S. BhuvaneswaranIntrusion Detection System (IDS) provides additional security for the most vulnerable Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET). Use of Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) in the design of IDS is proven to be efficient in detecting routing attacks in MANETs. Clustering is a vital means in the detection process of FIS based hybrid IDS. This study describes the design of such a system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 14 May 2013 · 6,469 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractE2AODV Protocol for Load Balancing in Ad-Hoc NetworksR. Vinod Kumar, R. S.D. Wahida BanuProblem statement: In mobile ad hoc networks there are a number of challenges in providing quality of service routing with energy efficiency and load balancing. Most routing protocols do not consider the problem of load balance. A routing protocol called energy Efficient Ad-hoc on Demand Vector (E2AODV) is proposed. It addresses the quality of service issues such as throughput, end … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 7 Jul 2012 · 6,832 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCongestion Free Routing in Adhoc NetworksT. Senthil Kumaran, V. SankaranarayananProblem statement: A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is a temporary network; the mobile devices in an ad-hoc network are communicating through wireless links without any pre-existing infrastructure. The one major problem of this network is network congestion, it may take place at any intermediate nodes when data packets are traveling from source to destination. The major problems of congestion or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 4 Apr 2012 · 7,236 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Congestion Reduction Routing in Wireless Sensor NetworksT. V.P. Sundararajan, Thiyaneswaran Manoharan, Abinaya RajendranProblem statement: Data generated in wireless sensor networks may not all be alike: some data may be more important than others and hence may have different delivery requirements, To solve this problem addressed a differentiated data delivery in the presence of congestion in wireless sensor networks and proposed a class of algorithms that enforce differentiated routing based on the congested … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,795 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComparative Performance Evaluation of Routing Algorithms in IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.11 with Different Ad Hoc Routing ProtocolP. Anitha, C. ChandrasekarProblem statement: Wireless ADHOC networks are self organized dynamic networks can share wireless channel without any established central control standard for IEEE 802.11. Approach: The most common protocols are AODV, DSDV, DSR in ADHOC used to ensure the data transmission among themselves. To meet the need of low power and low cost IEEE 802.15.4 standard was developed for sensor networks. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,409 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Swarm-based Distance Vector Routing to Support Multiple Quality of Service (QoS) Metrics in Mobile Adhoc NetworksR. Asokan, A. M. Natarajan, A. NivethaQuality of Service support for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks is a challenging task due to dynamic topology and limited resource. The main purpose of QoS routing is to find a feasible path that has sufficient resources to satisfy the constraints. A fundamental problem in QoS routing is to find a path between a source and destination that satisfies two or more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,665 accessesView PDFCite
